About the jobAs a Senior PHP - Drupal Engineer at Aspire, you will design, develop, and maintain portal solutions using PHP and Drupal CMS (8/9/10). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing web applications aligned with business objectives. In this role, you will write clean, maintainable code while ensuring optimal system performance, security, and reliability.
What you’ll do- Develop, customize, and maintain Drupal modules and portal features using PHP.
- Configure and manage content types, views, blocks, and themes to meet business and user requirements.
- Integrate portal services with external systems through APIs and web services.
- Perform regular Drupal core and contributed module updates, patches, and version upgrades.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance, security, and functionality issues across development and production environments.
- Collaborate with design, content, and backend teams to deliver new features and portal enhancements.
- Ensure code quality, version control, and structured deployment processes following development best practices.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for developed solutions and integrations.
- Stay updated with emerging Drupal and PHP technologies and apply improvements where applicable.
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong experience in PHP development.
- Hands-on experience with Drupal 8/9/10.
- Experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs and web services.
- Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern theming practices.
- Understanding of database management (MySQL or similar).
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
- Strong understanding of web security best practices and performance optimization techniques.
- Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
- Awareness or knowledge of IT security best practices as defined by ISO/SOC or similar.
