Huxley has been mandated by a leading bank in Qatar to hire a Section Head for their Enterprise Channels. This strategic role involves overseeing the development and change management of integrated Enterprise Channels/digital solutions, including but not limited to mobile banking, internet banking, ATM/CDM/VTM, Call Centre/IVR, and Website. The incumbent will be responsible for channel digitalization, channel modernization, Omnichannel, and channel convergence initiatives to enhance customer experience from an IT perspective, in coordination with Business and DS&IT teams.
Role Objective: The ideal candidate will lead the development and implementation of digital solutions across various banking channels, ensuring optimal management, control, risk tolerance, and continuous maintenance and support. The role involves partnering with business units, IT teams, and external vendors to deliver scalable, high-quality digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and implement digital solutions/Omnichannel capabilities and roadmap for Enterprise Channels.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements set by Central Bank and other relevant bodies.
- Develop and implement annual plans, budgets, and resources for the effective functioning of the section.
- Establish and maintain robust relationships with business and IT stakeholders.
- Direct activities of the Enterprise Channels team to ensure business plans are within budgets and timescales.
- Represent the bank at external events to optimize Enterprise Channels opportunities.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and flawless operations.
- Stay abreast of emerging business technologies and contemporary digital design concepts.
- Deliver scalable digital solutions across banking channels to meet business needs.
- Partner with Business, Strategy, and DS&IT teams for digitalization/channel modernization efforts.
- Oversee development of digital channels to enable seamless customer experience.
- Manage project workflows, budget management, change management, and resource arrangements.
- Ensure availability and maintenance of all channels and timely delivery of channel projects.
- Track performance of all channel suppliers, including cost evaluations and improvements.
- Establish incidence management and reporting processes for timely resolution of system problems.
- Set up recovery procedures and processes to ensure minimum downtime for channel systems.
- Evaluate efficiency of Banking Channels and recommend upgrades for better performance.
- Ensure appropriate security standards in all Enterprise Channels.
- Monitor KPIs and budget for the Enterprise Channels section and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure risk, audit, compliance, governance, security, and control measures within the section.
- Support Department Head in providing information to auditors and Compliance function.
- Maintain high standards of confidentiality, professional conduct, ethics, and integrity.
- Perform operational activities in compliance with local regulations and bank policies.
- Support recruitment, training, and performance management of the Enterprise Channels team.
Educational Qualifications and Experience:
- University graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Master's degree in Management/Technology or related discipline is an added advantage.
- Professional certification such as ITIL/PMP/Prince2/CBAP or any other industry-certified technical qualification is preferable.
- 12+ years of experience in the banking industry with responsibilities in IT Business applications.
- Significant experience in Banking Channels Applications and related digital transformation.
