Job Description:
Under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts, the ABA therapist will work one-on-one with children with autism spectrum disorders, or children with behavior problems or other developmental disabilities either at a center or school. The sessions will focus on teaching communication, self-help, and play skills.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Special Education, or Occupational Therapy preferred
- Fluency in English both written and spoken
- Patience and a willingness to learn, and a passion to help children with special needs
- Ability to sit and/or stand for long period of time
- Commitment to learning and developing your personal and professional skills
- Ability to tolerate aggressive behavior and/or problem behaviors.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Implement a treatment plan as written by Board Certified Behavior Analysts either at a school or in the center
- Collect data daily on students' programs
