<p><strong>Organisation Background</strong></p>
<p>Founded in 2011, the International NGO Safety Organisation (INSO) is an international non-governmental organisation that supports humanitarian aid workers by establishing safety coordination platforms in insecure contexts. INSO provides registered NGOs with a range of <a href="http://www.ngosafety.org/services">free services</a>, including real-time incident tracking, analytical reports, safety-related data and mapping, crisis management support, staff orientations and training. </p>

<p><strong>INSO Palestine</strong></p>
<p>INSO Palestine launched in 2024 in response to the ongoing crisis in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (oPT). Based in Amman, Jordan with staff present in the West Bank and Gaza, this new programme will support NGOs providing much-needed humanitarian assistance amid a complex safety and access environment. The team harnesses data and insights to provide timely analysis and coordination services to assist humanitarians navigating significant risks to staff and beneficiaries. As part of the INSO Palestine team, you will be playing an active and impactful role in assisting the delivery of aid to people in significant need. </p>
<p><strong>Overall Purpose of Role:</strong></p>
<p>Acting as the primary assistant to the Country Administration Manager (CAM), the Operations Officer will support in carrying out INSO operations including (but not limited to) HR, logistics, procurement, admin tasks, and functions. The position will as part of the Operations team.</p>

<li>Responsible for circulating RFQs, preparing bid analysis, and issuing purchase orders</li>
<li>Coordinate all logistical arrangements for project-related events, workshops, seminars, and other training activities</li>
<li>Responsible for managing & preparing service level agreements for the smooth running of project activities</li>
<li>Help manage and administer office resources, including office space, assets including laptops, other related office systems and equipment.</li>
<li>Maintain and update CO inventory list as per INSO requirements and submit quarterly reports.</li>
<li>Ensure all assets are tagged and keep record of movement of assets.</li>

In the following decades, significant progress has been achieved for children. Since the beginning of the Syrian crisis in 2013, UNICEF has significantly increased its operation to respond to the challenges faced by both refugee children and those in the communities where they live.</p><p><br></p><p>Building on the lessons learned from this emergency response, UNICEF Jordan moved to a vulnerability approach in 2018 - supporting interventions that target the most vulnerable children in the country, regardless of their nationality.</p><p>Context</p><p>UNICEF Jordan Country Office (JCO) is currently in the fourth year of its Country Programme Cycle (2023–2027), a period marked by continuous efforts to support targeted interventions and mainstreaming in gender equality and adolescent girl empowerment across programming and institutional work. Guided by a Gender & Disability Action Plan (2025-27) and a Gender Programmatic Review (completed in October 2025), JCO has invested in building gender capacity, establishing a well-staffed team, and aligning its interventions with UNICEF’s global Gender Action Plan (GAP 2022–2025), the Strategic Plan (2022–2025), and positioned itself for alignment to the current UNICEF Strategic Plan (2026–2029) and Gender Equality Plan (2026-29).
