We are currently looking for a Senior Assessment Officer to support our team in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) Position: Senior Assessment Officer Shelter & Site Management Contract duration: 3 months and half with possibility of extension (Pending funding confirmation). Starting Date : ASAP Location : Amman, Jordan COUNTRY PROFILE The humanitarian situation in the occupied Palestinian territories (oPt) has reached dire levels, particularly in the Gaza Strip, where ongoing hostilities have resulted in mass displacement, the collapse of basic services, and a near-total breakdown of civilian infrastructure. With 2.1 million people affected, access to food, water, healthcare, and shelter remains critically limited. The scale of destruction and access constraints have created an environment where humanitarian needs far exceed available resources. Together, these dynamics have driven acute and widespread humanitarian needs. Against this backdrop, IMPACT Initiatives is planning a range of research activities to support an evidence- and needs-based humanitarian response. In 2026, IMPACT will conduct a number of cash and market assessments in order to better inform the response as it responds to the post ceasefire context. POSITION PROFILE Under the line management of the Research Manager, the Senior Assessment Officer is jointly responsible for the implementation of REACH s Shelter and Site Management assessments, including the preparation, data collection, analysis, drafting, dissemination, and evaluation stages. The primary assessment sitting under the SAO will be the Comprehensive Shelter Needs Assessment and associated Joint Analysis Workshop. Additionally, targeted assessments are expected to be developed and implemented throughout the contracted period. Result of Service<br>The Senior Programme Management Consultant will support the Relief and Social Service Department (RSSD) in the continued implementation of the digital archive initiative. The assignment focuses on programme oversight, coordination, delivery tracking, risk management, and reporting. The programme is already under implementation. Reporting to the Director, RSSD the Consultant will review current progress, identify bottlenecks and delivery risks, coordinate follow-up across project contributors, support management decision-making, and complete the deliverables set out below. The consultant will: 1) Review the current status of the archive initiative, including workplans, deliverables, timelines, risks, contracts, stakeholder roles, staffing arrangements, and implementation challenges 2) Develop and maintain integrated delivery plans, schedules, risk registers, issue logs, dependency trackers, and reporting tools 3) Provide day-to-day coordination support across RSSD stakeholders, project teams, consultants, vendors, and service providers 4) Track progress regularly, including daily or near-daily follow-up on priority tasks, blockers, dependencies, and pending decisions 5) Identify delays, underperformance, resource gaps, and bottlenecks, recommending corrective action as appropriate 6) Support coordination of archive digitization, reading, validation, verification, metadata, investigative documentation, human verification, research support, and knowledge management activities 7)Track and support completion of the reading and verification of master card-related archive records 8) Support development of a model and completion plan for investigative factsheets 9) Facilitate coordination between archive and research stakeholders and technical or service-provider teams to ensure that tools and systems support RSSD requirements 10)Advise senior management on implementation priorities, risks, resource needs, governance arrangements, and future operating requirements 11) Support governance meetings, stakeholder consultations, donor reporting, budget reviews, procurement planning, and implementation reviews 12) Coordinate with the Communications Specialist, as required, to support dissemination of programme achievements, lessons learned, and knowledge products 13) Monitor programme performance, budget utilization, procurement timelines, vendor performance, milestones, risks, outputs, and deliverables against approved workplans 14) Prepare progress reports, briefing notes, presentations, donor reporting inputs, decision logs, management updates, lessons learned, and recommendations for future phases<br> Qualifications/special skills<br>EDUCATION An advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in a relevant field is required. A first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) in a relevant field, combined with an additional two years of relevant experience, may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.
