<p>Under supervision of the NOB Accounting and Finance Officer you perform specialized tasks in the accounting and finance functions.</p>
<h4>Summary of key functions/accountabilities:</h4>
<ul>
<li>Receive invoices from programme and other sections, verify accuracy, correctness including coding and completeness of documents and including checking the availability of adequate funding as appropriate.</li>
<li>Work as focal point to the Global Shared Service Center (GSSC) in Budapest for submitting all country office invoices, payment requests and general accounting cases.</li>
<li>Follow up banking issues and request replenishments for the JCO & MENARO bank accounts and resolve reconciling items resulted from the monthly bank reconciliations for bank accounts maintained by JCO & MENARO.</li>
<li>Check all Direct Cash Transfer (DCT) requests, liquidations and reclassifications. Participate in HACT assurance activities by conducting spot checks for Implementing Partners (IP).</li>
<li>Perform the monthly payroll activities from identifying funding shortages to confirming accuracy of the payment of the month with coordination with HR and budget teams.</li>
<li>Analyze open items in General Ledger account balances as part of the monthly closure activities.</li>
<li>Submit all Fixed Assets disposal transactions to GSSC in compliance with the current SOPs.</li>
<li>Submit the monthly bank reconciliation needed sheets for GSSC and ensure completion of the bank reconciliation report.</li>
<li>Review requests for change of funding source and other adjustments and submit requests for change of funding source and other adjustments to GSSC.</li>
<li>Assist higher level officers in all aspects of accounts maintenance and providing reports on financial status, procedures, costs and expenditures, and potential funding problems.</li>
<li>Support the HACT assurance activities (spot checks) to implementing partners.</li>
<li>Monitor the petty cash account and perform the transaction and complete the monthly reconciliation and cash count.</li>

<h4>Minimum requirements:</h4>
<p><strong>Education:</strong> Completion of secondary education is required. A bachelor’s degree from a recognized academic institution in finance, accounting, economics and business administration or any field relevant to the position may replace three years of related work experience. A master’s degree may replace an additional two years.</p>
<p><strong>Work experience:</strong> Six years of relevant work experience in accounting and finance is required.</p>
<p><strong>Skills required include:</strong> Financial reporting, invoice processing, bank reconciliation, and Excel.</p>
<p><strong>Language requirements:</strong> Fluency in English and Arabic is required.</p>

<p>About REACH and IMPACT </p><p>REACH was created in 2010 as a joint initiative of two International NGOs (IMPACT Initiatives and ACTED) and the United Nations Operational Satellite Applications Programme (UNOSAT). REACH’s purpose is to facilitate the development of information products that enhance the humanitarian community’s decision-making and planning capacity for emergency, recovery, and development contexts. Depending on organizational needs and the successful candidate's profile, the position may be based within either the <b>Public Health and Prioritisation</b>, <b>Shelter and Site Management, or Cash, Markets & Livelihoods Units</b> supporting REACH's humanitarian research portfolio in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (oPt).</p><p>The REACH Assessment Officer (SAO) will lead and support the design, implementation, and analysis of humanitarian assessments and research across one or more thematic sectors. This includes leading the development of assessment methodologies and tools, overseeing data collection and quality assurance processes, conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis, and producing high-quality analytical outputs to inform humanitarian response planning, coordination, advocacy, and decision-making.</p><p>Previous experience conducting humanitarian assessments, research, or data analysis is required, along with experience managing and processing large datasets (including in Microsoft Excel). Excellent written and spoken English is essential. Experience with Kobo Toolbox and capacity building is preferred. Familiarity with statistical software (e.g. R, SPSS, or Stata) and/or data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI or Tableau) is an asset but not required. With 2.1 million people affected, access to food, water, healthcare, and shelter remains critically limited. The scale of destruction and access constraints have created an environment where humanitarian needs far exceed available resources. At the same time, rising tensions and violence in the West Bank have severely impacted freedom of movement, livelihoods, and overall humanitarian conditions. In response, IMPACT Initiatives is implementing a range of activities to support a needs-based, evidence-driven humanitarian response. This includes multi-sectoral household assessments, displacement site mapping, and market assessments across Gaza to inform coordination, operational planning, and strategic decision-making. POSITION PROFILE Under the supervision of IMPACT s Research Manager, the Senior Information Management Officer (SIMO) will lead on the aggregation of service and infrastructure mapping from response partners across the Gaza Strip. In coordination with Acted, UNDP and UN Habitat, the SIMO will be responsible for identifying valuable service and infrastructure data from local, national and international actors as well as UN Agencies in order to provide a comprehensive overview of ongoing humanitarian programming across the Strip. This role offers a unique opportunity to directly contribute to the response s effectiveness by supporting evidence-based planning and coordination. The IMO is expected to engage independently with partners and be confident articulating objectives to a range of audiences.
