By leveraging the combination of programmatic and IT developer capacity and skills within DG, over the last 20 years we have researched data ecosystems, built digital tools to support those data ecosystems, and advised on data strategy and digital transformation to strengthen decision-making, transparency, and service delivery.

DG is one of several consortium partners, led by IREX, implementing the Early Grade Education Activity (EGEA, also known as ‘ASAS’) program in Jordan between 2023-2028, funded by the U.S. Department of State. As a large-scale development program, ASAS is a complex, high-paced and outcome-oriented initiative. The consortium itself comprises well over 50 individuals working on the program at any given time (based both in Jordan and abroad). From DG’s side alone, there are likely to be approximately 8-10 personnel supporting implementation at any given time, with at least 4 staff based in Amman, including the Senior AI Technical Specialist.

The overarching objective of ASAS is to improve the quality of early grades (K-G3) education outcomes for children in Jordan. The program aims to achieve this objective by supporting the education of student teachers while they are still at university (pre-service teachers), and also by supporting early grades students and teachers (in-service teachers).

DG’s role within the consortium includes supporting the safe, effective, and responsible integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into Jordan’s education sector, in alignment with the national AI policy. In partnership with the Ministry of Education and Human Resources DevelopmentDG is embarking on an ambitious set of activities that will test AI capabilities in real-world settings.

Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for an AI specialist who can situate cutting-edge developments in AI within Jordan’s policy context and understand how new technologies can strengthen education systems. Based in Amman, you will turn fast-moving AI advances into practical opportunities for the Ministry of Education, schools, and universities, and explain their value clearly and simply to non-technical audiences.

Rather than executing backend software development or heavy algorithmic coding, your focus is on driving active stakeholder participation, co-designing AI sandbox environments in schools and universities, and explaining complex technical concepts in accessible Arabic and English. You will directly complement IREX’s overarching coordination work by grounding high-level planning into practical, school- and university-level deliverables–ensuring MoEHRD counterparts, school staff, faculty, and administrators remain energized, engaged, and aligned with core project requirements.

Embedded within the ASAS project office in Amman, you will report directly to DG’s Director of Software Development (US) for technical strategy, with a dotted reporting line to DG’s local Project Lead/Advisor for daily operational alignment. Working alongside 30+ Jordan-based consortium colleagues, you will join a creative, globally distributed team that values hard work, practical problem-solving, and collaboration. If you excel at turning institutional friction into clear technical momentum, this role offers the platform to drive meaningful digital adoption across Jordan's education ecosystem.

At DG, we are a creative and dynamic group of people based around the globe. We value and reward hard work, innovative thinking, a commitment to teamwork, and a good sense of humor. With this role, we are looking for a new colleague to join our team and be our Senior AI Technical Specialist on the ASAS program in Amman.

Support the preparation of a technical brief outlining the objectives, scope, expected outcomes, and implementation approach for the school AI sandbox pilots, aligned with the Year 3 AI Readiness Assessment and policy brief.

● Lead the technical set-up of school sandboxes, support the design and delivery of sensitization workshops and hands-on training, , and help pilot schools shortlist 2–3 priority AI use cases.

● Support monitoring and evaluation of AI sandbox pilots, including assessment of technical performance, usability, pedagogical relevance, user adoption, and documentation of results, challenges, and lessons learned.

● Support the organization and technical facilitation of workshops to present and validate pilot results with MoEHRD, participating schools, and relevant stakeholders

. ● Provide ongoing virtual sandboxing support, including a helpdesk that responds to technical questions and pedagogical questions on applying AI to agreed use cases.

● Translate pilot results into evidence and recommendations for MoEHRD leadership, the National AI for Education Forum, and a national approach to scaling successful use cases.

● Support MoEHRD and Field Directorates in assessing technical, institutional, and operational requirements for sustaining school AI Centers and scaling successful AI applications.

Pre-Service AI: University Engagement & Institutional Integration

● Serve as the lead technical interlocutor for partner universities, directly tackling engagement friction and driving active academic participation in project activities.

● Uncover operational bottlenecks and university requirements, translating qualitative institutional feedback into structured digital use cases.

● Lead the co-design, testing, and university-level rollout of sandbox AI environments, establishing clear feedback loops with faculty and administrators.

Requirements Scoping & Technical Translation

● Scope functional requirements for applied AI initiatives (e.g., automated reporting, documentation synthesis, data collection tools) without needing to write heavy software code.

● Translate complex technical concepts into accessible, bilingual (Arabic/English) specs and guidance notes for non-technical stakeholders, MoEHRD and university leadership, and vendors.

● Establish User Acceptance Testing (UAT) protocols, rollout sequencing, and data stewardship standards for school, university and ministry systems.

Alignment with IREX Coordination & Programmatic Support

● Complement IREX's programmatic coordination and oversight by serving as the Jordan-based technical liaison between DG's development team, IREX, MoEHRD, schools, and partner universities, translating agreed plans into actionable technical activities and supporting the timely resolution of implementation challenges.

● Serve as the primary Jordan-based technical liaison between DG's development team, IREX technical teams, MoEHRDHRD counterparts, schools, and partner universities, ensuring timely validation of requirements, coordination of technical implementation, resolution of operational challenges, and alignment with agreed work plans and institutional priorities

● Co-develop SOPs, workflows, and training materials that enable school and university staff to practically adopt AI tools in their daily routines.

● Provide regular, proactive updates on school and university technical readiness, operational risks, and adoption milestones to project leadership.

Data Governance & Responsible AI

● Establish practical ethical standards, governance rules, and privacy protections across all school and university AI sandbox pilots.

● Define data de-identification practices, accuracy checks, and hosting protocols to protect sensitive institutional and student data.

Qualifications and experience requirements

● Experience: 5+ years of experience in data systems, digital transformation, or technology adoption, with proven success driving stakeholder engagement within Jordanian universities or national institutions. Experience with AI applications, data science tools, or emerging technologies in education.

● Technical Alignment: Demonstrated capacity to map user requirements to applied AI/data tools and structure low-risk use cases (no direct programming required).

● Language Skills: Professional fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English, with demonstrated ability to draft technical specifications in both languages.

● Education: Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Information Management, Education, or a related field.

Preferred (desirable) qualifications

● Degree and/or certification in artificial intelligence, machine learning, or computer science is a plus.

● Familiarity with donor-funded programming (e.g., U.S. State Department) and their reporting standards.

About Lucidya Lucidya is an AI-native platform for customer experience (CX) intelligence that helps organizations understand their customers and take action across the entire customer lifecycle.
Our platform brings together products including Social Listening, OmniServe, Survey, and AI Agent, helping enterprise organizations across the region turn customer data into better experiences and measurable business outcomes.
As we continue to scale our products, customers, and AI capabilities, the amount of data we generate is growing rapidly.
The opportunity is no longer simply to report on what happened - it's to understand why it happened, what it means, and what we should do next.
Why this role matters We're looking for a Senior Product Analyst who can help make data a genuine part of how Product operates.
This isn't a role where you'll wait for a Product Manager to ask for a dashboard or pull a report after a decision has already been made.
You'll be expected to get close to the product, understand how customers actually use it, spot patterns others may have missed, and bring insights to the table before someone asks for them.
You'll operate at two levels.
At the product and feature level , you'll help teams understand whether customers are discovering, adopting, engaging with, and getting value from what we're building.
You'll identify friction, investigate unexpected behaviour, evaluate experiments, and help teams decide what to improve, scale, reposition, or stop.
At the leadership level , you'll connect those individual product signals to the bigger picture - helping leadership understand product performance, emerging opportunities, risks, and where we should invest next.
The strongest person in this role will be able to move comfortably between a SQL query, a conversation with a Product Manager, and a leadership presentation - and translate the same data into something meaningful for each audience.
What You'll Do Turn product data into decisions.
You'll go beyond reporting what happened to understand why it happened, what it means, and what Product should do differently as a result.
Help teams define what success actually means.
You'll work with Product Managers and other stakeholders to establish meaningful KPIs, success metrics, and measurement plans before features and initiatives are launched.
Understand how customers use our products.
You'll analyse journeys, funnels, cohorts, adoption, engagement, retention, churn, and behavioural patterns to identify where customers are succeeding and where they're getting stuck.
Evaluate whether our products are delivering value.
You'll assess feature performance and help teams make evidence-based decisions about whether to improve, scale, reposition, or discontinue initiatives.
Bring insights into product discovery.
You'll use quantitative evidence alongside customer, product, and market context to help teams understand which problems are worth solving and where the biggest opportunities exist.
Challenge assumptions with evidence.
When a team believes a feature is working, adoption is strong, or customers are behaving a certain way, you'll be comfortable asking, “What does the data actually tell us?
” — constructively and without creating friction.
Identify opportunities before you're asked.
You won't wait for a stakeholder to request a report.
You'll proactively investigate anomalies, emerging trends, underperforming areas, and changes in customer behaviour and bring forward the ones that matter.
Support experimentation.
You'll help teams define hypotheses, success criteria, and measurement approaches, then analyse experiments and A/B tests to determine what the evidence tells us.
Make complex analysis easy to understand.
You'll turn large datasets and complicated analysis into clear stories, visualisations, recommendations, and decisions that make sense to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Give leadership a clear view of product performance.
You'll create reporting that connects detailed product and feature performance to broader business objectives, highlighting progress, drivers, risks, and recommended actions rather than simply presenting numbers.
Help Product become more self-sufficient with data.
You'll build repeatable analytical frameworks, dashboards, documentation, and self-service resources so teams don't need to come to you for every question.
Raise data literacy across Product.
You'll coach Product Managers on metrics, analysis, and interpretation, and use workshops, office hours, and day-to-day collaboration to make better use of data part of how the team works.
Build trust across teams.
You'll work closely with Product, Design, Engineering, and business stakeholders and influence decisions without relying on formal authority.
What Success Looks Like In your first 3-6 months, you'll be building trust.
Product teams know you as someone who understands the product, asks the right questions, and brings useful insights rather than simply producing reports.
As you establish yourself, you'll start changing how decisions are made.
Product Managers are defining meaningful success metrics earlier, teams are using evidence to evaluate their decisions, and you're proactively surfacing opportunities and risks rather than responding to reporting requests.
Ultimately, success means Product becomes more intelligent.
Leadership has a clear view of what's driving product performance, teams understand why customers behave the way they do, and decisions about priorities and investment are increasingly based on evidence rather than assumptions.
The shift we're looking for is simple: From “What happened?
” → “Why did it happen?
” → “What should we do about it?
" Who You Are You're naturally curious.
When you see an unexpected number, you don't just add it to a report — you want to know what's behind it.
You think commercially, not just analytically.
You understand that an interesting insight isn't necessarily a useful one.
You can connect product behaviour to customer value, business performance, and investment decisions.
You don't need to be given the question.
You're comfortable starting with an ambiguous problem, figuring out what needs to be understood, and determining what analysis will actually help answer it.
You can zoom in and out.
You can spend time investigating why a particular feature's adoption dropped while still understanding how that finding connects to the wider product strategy.
You're willing to challenge people.
You don't simply validate what a stakeholder already believes.
You're comfortable presenting evidence that contradicts an assumption, while doing so in a way that builds trust rather than defensiveness.
You know that being right isn't enough.
Your analysis only creates value if people understand it and act on it.
You can turn complex findings into a simple story and a clear recommendation.
You're a strong communicator.
You can explain an analytical finding to a Product Manager, work through the
