<p>INSO Palestine launched in 2024 in response to the ongoing crisis in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (oPT). Based in Amman, Jordan with staff present in the West Bank and Gaza, this new programme will support NGOs providing much-needed humanitarian assistance amid a complex safety and access environment. The team harnesses data and insights to provide timely analysis and coordination services to assist humanitarians navigating significant risks to staff and beneficiaries. <p>Our utility cleaners play an important role in support of a number of vital hotel functions. At our hotels these associates may work across departments (e.g., kitchen, food and beverage, laundry) to support cleaning needs. Whether preparing fresh clean linen and spotless dining ware for guests to enjoy, operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and tools (e.g., dish washing machines, hand wash stations, linen washers and dryers), or transporting dishware or linens across the hotel, these associates do whatever it takes to get the job done.</p>
<p>No matter what position you are in, there are a few things that are critical to success – creating a safe workplace, following company policies and procedures, upholding quality standards, and ensuring your uniform, personal appearance, and communications are professional. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, develop and maintain positive working relationships with other employees and departments, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager.</p>
<p>Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.</p>

<h4>Job description</h4>
<p>To sort soiled guestroom linen as required and fill containers, label and make ready for pick-up.<br>
To sort/count soiled linen (Food & Beverage) and fill in containers, label and make ready for pick-up.<br>
Set aside misused linen for further investigation.<br>
Report any articles found within the linen/chute area eg. glass, food, cutlery, needles.<br>
Keep own working area constantly clean and tidy during day and end of shift.<br>
Wear as advised mask, gloves for health and safety reasons.<br>
Fold and pile clean towels, bathrobes for floor porters/housemen to pick up and deliver.<br>
Set aside and report any damaged or marked linen.<br>
Roll into linen room all containers with clean linen ready for distribution.<br>
If and when required to wash towels, to observe all points handling chemicals, lifting towels as trained. If and when required to wear goggles/gloves/mask accordingly to the health and safety training.<br>
Help out on other duties deemed necessary within linen/laundry area.<br>
Report to supervisor any equipment malfunctioning, or anything which may be a health and safety hazard.<br>
Attend any training courses given by housekeeping/human resources department.<br>
To make sure all health and safety matters are observed.<br>
Any other work deemed necessary by the head of department.</p>
<h4>Qualifications</h4>
<ul>
<li>High school diploma, vocational training and/or 1 year work experience.</li>
<li>Fluency in local language essential.</li>
<li>Basic understanding of the English language desirable.</li>
<li>Ability to lift/carry requirements up to 25 lbs.</li>
<li>Previous experience in luxury hotel desirable.</li>
