This section shall be revised whenever a new employee is hired or the context changes significantly.</p> <p> <br> Resolves engineering problems by collecting and analyzing information; researching, analyzing, adapting, and modifying engineering techniques; recommending solutions; preparing drawings, schematics, and diagrams; evaluating components, materials, and suppliers; resolving design integration issues; developing specifications and safety standards; performing installations.<br> Supervise daily shelter construction, maintenance, and rehabilitation activities to ensure compliance with approved technical specifications, BoQs, safety requirements, and quality standards.<br> Monitor the performance of incentive-based volunteers and skilled labourers, ensuring work is completed efficiently and according to agreed schedules.<br> Conduct relevant assessments in the camp, including but not limited to caravan repairing assessment.<br> Following up with labors and making sure that all requested tasks are done based on the agreed specifications, requirements, quality, and on time.<br> Reporting work progress on daily, weekly or monthly basis as it will be agreed with the line manager based on the available workload and based on the nature of the given task.<br> Prepare detailed plans for project implementation and ensure follow up and updating of the plan during implementation.<br> Prepare material requests, dispatch forms, and quantity estimates based on approved designs and Bills of Quantities (BoQs).<br> Immediately report implementation challenges, delays, risks, and technical issues, together with proposed mitigation measures.<br> Other functions that might be assigned by the supervisor.</p> <p> <br> <u>Critical interfaces:</u> <br>By interfaces, NRC means processes and projects that are interlinked with other departments/units or persons. <p><strong>Title: Health & Nutrition Coordinator</strong></p><br><p>TEAM/PROGRAMME: Health & Nutrition <br> LOCATION: Damascus/Aleppo.<br> GRADE: 3<br> Contract Length: 12 months renewable</p><br><p>CHILD SAFEGUARDING: <br> Level 3: the role holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work in country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.</p><br><p>ROLE PURPOSE: <br> The Health and Nutrition Coordinator will work to contribute and improve the overall Health & Nutrition of the targeted Beneficiaries in Syria, through provision of quality Comprehensive primary health care including RH, child health and nutrition services (MIYCN, IYCF-E, CMAM, MAMI). The Health & Nutrition Coordinator will work collaboratively with partners to meet the needs of patients, promote healthy behaviours, strengthen health systems and improve access to basic health and nutrition services. She/ He will work under the direct line management of Head of Office and is also expected to work closely/coordinate with Health & nutrition Technical Advisors (Backstop) in the Country office on technical matters/inputs.</p><br><p>SCOPE OF ROLE: <br> Reporting: Head of Office.</p><br><p><br> KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:<br> • Manage and Provide Technical support to the Health and Nutrition emergency programme by leading the establishment and setting up of an integrated nutrition component in the current service delivery point.<br> • Manage, develop and review detailed implementation plans for health and nutrition projects and ensure quality standards in compliance with Save the Children strategies, donor guidelines and priorities.<br> • Review the partners’ narrative and financial report and prepare for the monthly BvA and Award Review Meetings.<br> • To lead in the coordination and preparation of quality and timely donor reports thus ensuring that these are of high quality (Reporting clearly on progress towards the outputs of the project as stated in the project proposal).<br> • Manage and oversee the implementation of the agreed plan for health & Nutrition projects with the partners, from a quality perspective and meeting project targets and deadlines. The assignment includes reviewing UNRWA's existing digital health architecture, analyzing national health information systems and interoperability capabilities, assessing applicable international digital health standards, and providing technical inputs on legal and regulatory considerations related to data governance and information sharing. The consultant will identify technical, operational, institutional, and cybersecurity risks, propose appropriate mitigation measures, and develop a costed implementation roadmap aligned with UNRWA's EMR implementation phases.
