<p >Médecins Sans Frontières is running a reconstructive surgery program in Amman, which opened in 2006, is giving access to reconstructive surgery (orthopedic, plastic, and maxillo-facial) to war-wounded people providing comprehensive health care, MSF aims at identifying and referring patients from neighboring countries (Iraq, Yemen, Syria, and other countries with conflicts) then ensuring their medical follow-up after discharge.</p>
<p >Médecins Sans Frontières Reconstructive Surgery program and the Country Office in Amman are seeking a <strong>(1) Social Worker for a Full-Time contract.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Dimension of post</strong></p>
<p>Reconstructive Surgery Hospital with an average of 520 admissions per year, over 1000 surgeries annually, 50 surgical beds and 69 rehabilitation beds, 2 OTs for orthopedic, maxillo-facial and plastic reconstructive surgeries, OPD with an average 550 consultations / month, physiotherapy and psychosocial department, and Antimicrobial Resistance activity (Stewardship, IPC and Micro laboratory) within the hospital.</p>
<h3>SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES</h3>
<p>Carry out all activities aimed at addressing individuals’ social critical needs (related to assistance and/or protection), promoting their overall well-being and autonomy through social support, and strengthening com-munity-based social interventions (depending on the scope of the social work component in the project). These activities should consider the social determinants of health to ensure a holistic approach to people’s needs and to uphold the well-being, safety, agency and dignity of MSF patients.</p>
<h3>ACCOUNTABILITIES</h3>
<ul>
<li>Conduct social assessments of service users’ situation to identify vulnerabilities and social critical needs including legal, protection, shelter/housing, financial/vocational, food security, and access to other critical services beyond the project scope.</li>
<li>Support the provision of holistic care to service users, by actively coordinating with the other members of the MSF multidisciplinary team (especially medical and MHPSS).</li>
<li>Provide direct social support interventions to service users, facilitate safe referrals to vetted external services/actors to address social critical needs identified during assessment (assistance and protection), and ensure tailored follow up.</li>
<li>Under the supervision of the line manager, contribute to the mapping and regular updating of formal and informal support services (incl. existing community resources). Contribute to assessing quality and safety of existing support services, as well as the identification of gaps.</li>
<li>Flag any changes to vulnerabilities or patterns identified during social assessments to Social Worker Supervisor as well as concerns over the quality or gaps of support services supporting potential advocacy efforts to hospital director.</li>
<li>Participate in the development and adaptation of tools and other material needed for the job.</li>
<li>Collect and record data, statistics and files in a timely manner and according to the data protection policy, MSF ethical guidelines and legal standards.</li>
<li>Under the supervision of the line manager, ensure close collaboration with medical teams, Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), Health Promotion and Community Engagement (HPCE) and Humanitarian Affairs & Advocacy teams to foster a multidisciplinary approach.</li>
</ul>
<p> <strong>1. Case management:</strong> addressing social critical needs of service users including protection and assistance</p>
<ul>
<li>According to eligibility criteria, receive individuals and assess their situation performing thorough assessments of cases to identify vulnerabilities and social critical needs.</li>
<li>Perform risk assessment for individuals.</li>
<li>Develop an intervention plan together with the person of concern.</li>
<li>According to the project’s intervention criteria and with the person’s consent, provide individuals with direct assistance or referrals according to pre-established safe referral pathways.</li>
<li>In collaboration with the hospital director and social work supervisor, create and maintain safe supportive networks with institutional and external actors for referrals.</li>
<li>Under the supervision of the Social Worker Supervisor, contribute to the definition and the internal dissemination of criteria for detection of individuals with social critical needs.</li>
<li>Ensure follow up of the case and conclude with case closure.</li>
<li>Initiate and/or take active part to multidisciplinary discussions with the relevant medical and mental health care providers.</li>
<li>Enhance two-way communication and patient agency: ensure the active participation of patients in the decision regarding their health and social situation.</li>
<li>Manage complex or sensitive cases under the supervision of the social work supervisor and the hospital director and in collaboration with other relevant staff members involved and contribute to the definition of the best approach to address the individuals’ needs while considering risk and protective factors.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>2. Social support (as part of multidisciplinary efforts):</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Contribute to the creation of a safe, dignified and confidential care environment within the MSF facility, fostering the promotion of patient’s information, rights and participation, accessibility to feedback and complaints mechanism, in line with Safeguarding efforts.</li>
<li>Actively promote and contribute to overall patient wellbeing while receiving care.</li>
<li>Assess and address patients’ care-taking needs.</li>
<li>Collect comments and feedback from service users, patients and caregivers and address them or escalate them to the relevant manager.</li>
</ul>

<li>Facilitate administrative processes for registration (physical or online), particularly for Gaza patients, to ensure continuity of education.</li>
<li>Support the Social Worker Supervisor in facilitating and arranging with the other NGOs, external partners and authorities the educational resources needed, volunteer educators, and study spaces for high school students to support the patients.</li>
</ul>

<li>When required, follow up with patients discharged to hotels to monitor their well-being, safety, and living conditions, and ensure their basic needs are met, reporting any concerns to the supervisor.</li>
<li>In coordination with the hospital director and under the guidance of the supervisor, implement and follow up on patient leave procedures, ensuring safety and security considerations for patients and caregivers, and keeping the supervisor informed</li>
<li>Contribute alongside the supervisor to the organization’s representation in stakeholder meetings (UN, NGOs, etc.), supporting networking and maintaining an updated database of humanitarian actors in Jordan.</li>
</ul>
<h3>PROFILE</h3>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in social work (BSW) or other relevant degree in Social sciences, Psychology, law.</li>
<li>Two years minimum in a similar social job; (a social worker/case worker/ protection officer), managing complex cases with critical social needs (protection, psychosocial, sexual and gender-based violence, key populations etc.), carrying out community social services or social services in health facilities.</li>
<li>Experience with MSF or other NGOs, desirable.</li>
<li>Demonstrated understanding of and ability to navigate the national/local social wel-fare system.</li>
<li>Fluent in English and Arabic.</li>

<section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles & Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>To perform effective transfer of manufacturing know-how and product knowledge across Hikma manufacturing sites, provide technical support for product troubleshooting and process optimization, and support regulatory filing activities by generating and supplying the required technical documentation that is monitored by R&D.</p><p>Follows all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner during Day-to-day operations.</p><p>Follows the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work Job Specific Accountabilities.</p><p>Lead and support the successful transfer of manufacturing processes, technical knowledge, and product know-how for pharmaceutical products across Hikma Pharmaceuticals manufacturing sites. Act as the R&D representative during the, validation batches manufacturing of new product launches, providing on-site technical oversight and support as needed. Conduct comprehensive reviews of manufacturing and packaging batch records to ensure compliance with approved processes, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Facilitate the effective transfer of technical knowledge from Product Development to Manufacturing by proactively identifying, assessing, and resolving technical risks and gaps. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, Project Management Office and Technical Support Unit to ensure successful execution and alignment during the manufacture of the first three commercial/validation batches and support a smooth transition to routine commercial production.</p><p>Review and evaluate technical documentation and outsourced products transfer dossiers for pharmaceutical products planned for transfer from Hikma Jordan (HJ)/Outsourcing lab or Licensors to other Hikma manufacturing sites, or between Hikma manufacturing sites. Assess the completeness, technical feasibility, regulatory compliance, and manufacturing readiness of transfer packages, and provide scientifically sound recommendations to support successful technology transfer activities. Ensure all evaluations are completed accurately and within established timelines to support project milestones and business objectives.</p><p>Preparing and reviewing the supportive and technical documents that are intended to be transferred to other Hikma manufacturing sites or provided to Regulatory Affairs or authorities to complete the registration process at the intended markets, including but not limited to: Product CTDs, declaration letters, comparative dissolution reports, technical transfer reports,and reply to deficiency letters. Ensure all deliverables are completed within the predefined timelines, supported by thorough documentation and, when necessary, targeted research to enable efficient replies and compliant submissions.</p><p>Executing lab trials and submission batches independently in compliance with Quality standards. Preparing documents and reports necessary for trial execution.</p><p>Provide support for product troubleshooting. This role involves advanced financial and risk analysis, development of credit risk models, and close collaboration with the credit committee and other departments.</p>

<p>The GIZ Jordan Project <strong><em>"</em></strong><strong><em>Strong Water Utilities</em></strong><strong>” </strong>is seeking to hire a <strong>“Water and Sanitation Advisor - </strong><strong>Focus: Desalination” </strong>for full-time based employment.</p>
<p>The <strong>Strong Water Utility (SWU) project</strong> is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. Its primary objective is to support the actors in the Jordanian water sector to improve their performance and tackle challenges related to institutional development and process improvements aimed at reducing water losses and energy consumption as well as in wastewater management, desalination of brackish water and providing better rural drinking water supplies. </p>
<p>This project is strategically designed to elevate the performance of water supply, wastewater management, and energy efficiency within the Jordanian water sector.</p>

<p>By assisting the maxillofacial surgeon in the provision of specialized care in the OPD, IPD and OT, assure the continuity of care for maxillofacial patients. Coordinate with other teams (nursing, medical and surgical), to ensure patients’ safety and close follow up of their evolution, with emphasis on longer length of stay (LOS) patients as per hospital criteria. Assure accurate documentation of patient’s initial surgical assessment, OPD surgical progress notes, orders and discharge (TRM), including the external services (e.g., OPG panoramic x-ray, MRI, CT scan, and prosthetic eye), and external referrals.</p>
<p><strong>OPD:</strong></p>

<li>Follow up each MF patient’s treatment plan and outcome. Explain to the patient the surgical plan, the type of operations to be done, the schedule, and collect his/her consent.</li>
<li>Leads the maxillofacial OPD clinic when the surgeon is missing.</li>
<li>Under the supervision of the of the maxillofacial surgeon, communicates with the RSH team the identified needs for MF patients on dressing, physiotherapy, mental health, and refers patient to medical specialist or other practitioners / specialty when necessary.</li>

<li>Ensures proper preparation of patients before the surgery, verify the OT schedule and the patients order on the operating list, and keeps the register updated.</li>

<li><strong>OPD</strong>: runs the dental clinics for patients and caretakers, twice per week.</li>
<li><strong>Dental room and OT</strong>: perform dental procedures according to the internal policy of RSH.</li>
<li><strong>External referrals</strong>: Responsible for the accurate and close follow up of the patients and treatment plan of the external oral surgeon, including EMR documentation of the final medical report.</li>

<p><strong>DIMENSION OF POST</strong><br>
Reconstructive Surgery Hospital with an average of 550 admissions per year, over 1000 surgeries annually, 72 surgical beds and 126 rehabilitation beds, 2 OTs for orthopedic, maxillo-facial and plastic reconstructive surgeries, OPD with an average 550 consultations / month, physiotherapy and psychosocial department, and Antimicrobial Resistance activity (Stewardship, IPC and Micro laboratory) within the hospital.</p>
<p><strong>MAIN PRUPOSE</strong><br>
The secretary provides administrative, organizational, and communication support to both the Hospital Director and the Quality Referent. <br>
The position ensures smooth coordination of meetings, documentation, reporting, internal communication, and follow-up of operational, medical and quality-related activities.<br>
Carrying out medical data collection and entry activities into the mission database recording all relevant clinical and demographic data on patients and ensuring data quality/reliability, according to MSF protocols and maintaining confidentiality while producing the appropriate, updated documents for the medical team in order to support decision making processes. <br>
