The role operates deliberately across the humanitarian-development nexus, requiring a leader who can hold both dimensions simultaneously without compromising either. The post holder serves as a strategic thought partner to the Country Director, contributing to CMT leadership on organisational direction, programme innovation and evidence-based decision making, and <p>INSO Palestine launched in 2024 in response to the ongoing crisis in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (oPT). <p><strong>Position Description/Summary: </strong></p>
<p>Under the supervision of the Water and Treated Wastewater (TWW) Policy and Planning Manager, the Water and Wastewater Specialist will support or lead a range of technical assistance activities to support the National Conveyor Project Management Unit (NCPMU), associated readiness activities, and wider water sector institutions including the Ministry of Water and Irrigation (MWI), the Water Authority of Jordan (WAJ), the Jordan Valley Authority (JVA), utilities, and other agencies. WEC currently supports the NCPMU to operationalize its Readiness Functions, which includes monitoring and delivery, donor and finance coordination, and strategic communications for NCP Readiness Interventions. WEC also supports the NCPMU with technical assessments, market research, and strategic planning related to the NCP and NCP Readiness. WEC also works with the JVA, WAJ, MWI, and utilities on strategic interventions, including national strategies, assessments, strategic plans, and master plans for water and wastewater systems. <p>The Project Assistant will provide direct support to the implementation of MAG’s Weapons and Ammunition Management (WAM) project activities, including training project delivery. The role is task-oriented and will involve assisting senior staff in administrative, logistical, and field-related duties to ensure the smooth execution of training and operational activities.</p>
<p>The position requires a reliable and flexible individual capable of carrying out assigned tasks efficiently across different WAM functions.</p>
<p><strong>Principal Responsibilities</strong></p>
<p>Training Support</p>
<ul>
<li>Assist in preparing training venues by arranging materials, equipment, and other logistical requirements.</li>
<li>Receive training materials from the logistics team and ensure they are properly organised and available for training sessions.</li>
<li>Support trainers and Technical Field Managers during the delivery of training activities.</li>
<li>Assist with participant registration, maintain attendance records, and ensure proper documentation during training.</li>
<li>Provide general administrative and logistical support throughout training activities.</li>
<li>Support WAM staff during field activities, including site visits and technical tasks as required.</li>
<li>Assist in preparing, organising, and handling materials and equipment used in WAM activities.</li>
<li>Support the tracking, storage, and management of consumables and operational items, and report any shortages to the line manager.</li>
<li>Perform data entry and maintain basic records related to project activities.</li>
<li>Carry out administrative duties such as filing, document preparation, record maintenance, staff daily attendance tracking, and monthly timesheet support.</li>
<li>Maintain organised physical and electronic filing systems.</li>
<li>Provide Arabic–English translation support when required.</li>
<li>Assist with routine office tasks to ensure the smooth implementation of WAM activities.</li>

<p>Requirements</p>
