Accountable for maintaining the building and grounds with particular attention towards safety, security and asset protection. Assigns, tracks and follows up on status of work assigned to staff and contractors. Helps to increase guest and employee satisfaction through effective communications and training.</p><p>CORE WORK ACTIVIITES</p><p>Supporting management of Property Operations</p><ul><li>Supervises distribution of repair work orders.</li><li>Ensures property policies are administered fairly and consistently.</li><li>Assists in effectively planning, scheduling and evaluating preventative maintenance programs.</li><li>Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with employees.</li><li>Monitors timeliness and quality of completion of repair work orders.</li><li>Supervises Engineering and related areas in absence of the Director of Engineering.</li><li>Assists in managing the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical and life safety systems.</li><li>Ensures that regular on-going communication occurs with employees in order to create awareness of business objectives, communicate expectations and recognize performance.</li><li>Recommends or arranges for additional services such as painting, repair work, renovations, and the replacement of furnishings and equipment.</li><li>Selects and order or purchase new equipment, supplies, and furnishings.</li><li>Supervises the day to day operations of Engineering and related departments.</li></ul><p>Maintaining Property Standards</p><ul><li>Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities in order to determine the type of work required.</li><li>Maintains accurate logs and records as required.</li><li>Operates generators and fire pumps as necessary.</li><li>Provides emergency response services 24/7.</li><li>Repairs equipment (e.g., refrigeration, laundry) as necessary.</li><li>Ensures all employees have the proper supplies, equipment and uniforms.</li></ul><p>Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service</p><ul><li>Empowers employees to provide excellent customer service.</li><li>Emphasizes guest satisfaction during all departmental meetings and focuses on continuous improvement.</li><li>Sets a positive example for guest relations.</li></ul><p>Conducting Human Resources Activities</p><ul><li>Helps train employees in safety procedures.</li><li>Supports a departmental orientation program for employees to receive the appropriate new hire training to successfully perform their job.</li><li>Communicates performance expectations in accordance with job descriptions for each position.</li><li>Ensures disciplinary procedures and documentation are completed according to Standard and Local Operating Procedures (SOPs and LSOPs) and support the Peer Review Process.</li><li>Assists as needed in the interviewing and hiring of employee team members with the appropriate skills.</li><li>Participates in the employee performance appraisal process, providing feedback as needed.</li><li>Uses all available on the job training tools for employees.</li><li>Solicits employee feedback.</li><li>Supervises staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs and financial objectives are met.</li></ul></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph"></p><ul><li>High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing. OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major; 2 years experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.</li></ul><p></p></section>

<p><br></p><p>What you will do as a Hydraulic Engineer</p><p>We are looking for a Hydraulic / Flood Protection Engineer to support the Southern Expansion Project for the Arab Potash Company (APC). The role focuses primarily on the design and development of river training and hydraulic protection works, supporting safe and efficient implementation of flood protection measures in a complex wadi system. The Hydraulic Engineer will work closely with designers and modellers, providing technical expertise in the design and detailing of diversion dikes, wadi channel stabilisation measures, and erosion protection systems. The role is oriented towards translating hydraulic boundary conditions into practical and robust design solutions.</p><p>Project Context</p><p>Haskoning is supporting the Southern Expansion Project of the Arab Potash Company (APC), which includes large-scale hydraulic and onshore infrastructure works in the Aqaba / Dead Sea region. A key component of the project consists of designing wadi diversion and protection works around the South Expansion area. This includes the development of diversion dikes and reinforcement of existing wadi channels in a highly dynamic flash flood environment. The system is characterised by multiple wadis with different hydraulic behaviour, discharges, and sediment transport mechanisms. Designs must account for the interaction between hydraulic loading and the soil-bed system, including risks related to erosion, local scour, and the performance of rock armour layers, revetments, and related protection measures</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Support the design and detailing of river training and hydraulic protection works, including:<ul><li>Diversion dikes for wadi systems</li><li>Bank protection, revetments and channel stabilisation measures</li></ul></li><li>Translate hydraulic inputs (discharges, water levels, velocities, sediment behaviour) into feasible and well-founded designs</li><li>Work closely with in-house modellers to iteratively develop and improve design solutions</li><li>Prepare and review design calculations, drawings, and technical documentation</li><li>Evaluate the adequacy of rock gradings, filter layers, and geotextiles in relation to hydraulic loading conditions</li><li>Contribute to design choices regarding materials, layouts, and constructability of protection works</li><li>Provide technical input on hydraulic risks, including erosion and scour, and propose mitigation measures</li><li>Support limited review of contractor submissions where relevant to hydraulic design intent</li><li>Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including geotechnical, structural, and environmental specialists</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><p>This vacancy is intended for a locally based candidate in Jordan . The ideal candidate will have:</p><ul><li>A degree in Hydraulic Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field</li><li>Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in hydraulic engineering, with a focus on design of river training works, wadi systems, or erosion protection measures</li><li>Experience with the design of diversion structures, revetments, and channel stabilisation works is a strong asset</li><li>Strong understanding of hydrodynamics, scour processes, bed stability, and erosion mechanisms in dynamic systems</li><li>Experience with rock armour design, filter rules, and geotextiles</li><li>Ability to develop and detail practical, buildable design solutions</li><li>Experience with design tools such as AutoCAD / Civil 3D / Revit is an advantage</li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with modellers and design leads</li></ul>
