Core Responsibilities:
• Supervises care and cleaning of all floors, walls, baseboards, and equipment in food service areas within the location (sweep, mop, etc.)
• Assist and coordinate the washing of dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and /or pans using a dishwasher or by hand.
• Oversee the proper disposal of waste and ensure recycling initiatives are implemented wherever possible to minimize the environmental impact. • Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment needed for the stewarding department, ensuring adequate stock levels at all times.
• Identify and resolve any issues related to cleanliness, equipment malfunction, or stewarding operations to maintain efficient workflows.
• Follow department policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Develop and implement cleaning and sanitation procedures.
• Takes ownership of the planned deep cleaning and preventative maintenance program to maintain high cleanliness standards and address maintenance matters.
• Ensures adherence and compliance to all legislation where due diligence requirements and best practice activities are planned, delivered, and documented for internal and external audit, performing follow-up as required.
Skills
Qualifications:
- High School Certificate.
- Strong English and Arabic language skills (written and spoken).
- 7 years of experience.
- Experience in food and beverage, culinary, or related professional areas in the Stewarding department.
