Project Background:
The Jordan Himaya Activity is a USAID-funded project that aims to enhance the availability and quality of essential services and protection for survivors of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in Jordan. The project has two outcomes: 1) survivor-centered institutional capacity improved, and 2) legislative frameworks for protecting survivors and responding to violence strengthened. To achieve these outcomes, the project will apply a survivor-centered systems-strengthening approach to improve prevention, response, and protection services, and to support the development and implementation of survivor-centered legislation and policies. Outcome 1 will inform research, advocacy, and policy changes in Outcome 2, while reforms supported under Outcome 2 will be implemented and enforced by institutions and service providers that have gained stronger capacity under Outcome 1.
Role’s Purpose:
Provide on-site support to staff members providing case management assistance to survivors of gender-based violence, and support implementation of automated systems, and policies and procedures that enhance timeliness of interagency coordination and implementation of survivor-centered principles.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the delivery of practical training on the GBV Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), along with specialized training on a Survivor-Focused Approach.
- Assist with the implementation of the automated case management system across various locations.
- Deliver training sessions to employees, including case managers, social workers, and administrative staff, ensuring they understand the system’s features, data entry processes, reporting tools, and security protocols.
- Provide on-job training and support of full aspects of case management system implementation and institutionalization.
- Support in data entry and ensuring proper implementation of the system as needed.
- Provide on-site and remote assistance to troubleshoot issues, answer questions, and adapt the system as necessary for each location’s unique needs.
- Monitor the system usage, gather users feedback, and report on progress, challenges, and system improvements needed.
- Ensure that staff at each location are fully capable of operating the system independently and follow best practices for maintaining data security, confidentiality, and integrity.
- Provide regular written reports documenting progress and challenges.
