Role: M&E Consultant
Section A: Background

Section B: Project Overview
JoWomenomics is seeking a M&E Consultant to join their team under the "Women’s Voice and Leadership" project. This role involves creating M&E tools with the CEO, managing data collection, and ensuring targets align with donor agreements. Key tasks include training staff on data reporting, establishing efficient systems, drafting progress reports, and supporting project development through targeted research.
Section C: Scope of Work
- Work closely with the CEO to develop questionnaires M&E tools for tracking project objectives and indicators.
- Manages data collection through both existing data collection, as necessary, at the start of the project.
- Manages different types of Databases Management Systems.
- Ensures that project targets, as outlined in donor agreements, are achievable, clearly defined, and that all necessary systems are in place for their measurement.
- Where necessary, recommend revisions to indicators and or targets and provide senior with written justification for these modifications.
- Orients field staff to project indicators and ensures that all staff understand how indicators are defined and are to be measured and reported.
- Manages data collection process and ensures that all data collectors are capable of being used.
Building the capacities of the project team on monitoring and evaluation tools.
- Establishes user-friendly reporting formats and systems for collecting all necessary project indicators in a timely and accurate manner.
- Drafts the sections of monthly and final reports that report on indicators and progress toward targets, including a clear explanation of any problems encountered in the monitoring and evaluation process and how these were addressed.
- Works in close cooperation with other project components, ensuring implementation of all project activities in the field.
- Conduct research as needed for the development of projects and proposal.
Section D: Requirements and Skills
- A Degree in a relevant discipline.
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience volunteering in development/community work.
- Experience in monitoring and evaluation.
- Experience in program design and coordination.
- Excellent communication skills, both consensus development and interpersonal; confidence and enthusiasm when communicating internally and externally in both formal and informal presentations.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Very good analytical skills.
- Technologically skilled (databases, documents, spreadsheets, surveys, presentations).
- Ability to analyse and deal with quantitative data.
- Ability to reflect, learn, and improve; having experience in using feedback processes for learning.
- Ability to perform in a high-energy environment, with a flexible and enthusiastic approach to work, including humility and the thoughtfulness to work effectively with others in a collaborative workplace; a "can do" attitude, and a willingness to "roll up sleeves" and personally handle all aspects of the position.
- Strong interest in Gender equality, working with the marginalized, and international development.
Section E: Languages
- Proficiency in Arabic and excellent technical writing skills in English, with strong Arabic writing abilities.
