Jordan Olympic Committee:
- The Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC) is the governing body for sports in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Founded in 1957, the JOC became the nurturing body for 34 Olympic and non-Olympic sports federations in the kingdom, laying down the foundation and trail to develop and rise up with the state of sports in Jordan.
- Careful planning led by HRH Prince Feisal bin Al Hussein enabled the JOC to develop the sports scene in Jordan with both consistency and vision positioning Jordan as a key, medal winning participant in all the major sports events both regionally and internationally .
- Administrative efforts by the JOC were praised by the international sports community pinpointing Jordan as a healthy and worthy host for numerous Arab, Asian and international sporting events and championships such as the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in 2016.
- Recognizing Jordan’s efforts in reshaping and bettering the sports scene both regionally and internationally, HRH Prince Feisal Al Hussein, President of the Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC) was elected as a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in 2010 among other honorary positions.
- Given the role played and demonstration of the highest levels of commitment to sports betterment, Dr Jacques Rogge, President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) named the Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC) in “the world’s Top 10%” Olympic Committees, cementing the Jordan Olympic Committee and its efforts as a role model raising standards in the sports world and a key player in the future of sports.

1. Purpose of the Position:
The Human Resources Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the Jordan Olympic Committee in achieving its strategic goals through effective human resource management. This position requires a deep understanding of Jordanian labor law, excellent organizational skills, and a keen attention to detail.
2. Responsibilities:
1. Labor Law Compliance:
- Ensure all HR policies and practices comply with Jordanian labor laws and regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in labor legislation and advise management on necessary adjustments to policies.
2. Recruitment and Staffing:
- Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, and selection of candidates.
- Develop and implement effective onboarding programs for new hires.
3. Employee Relations:
- Foster a positive working environment through effective communication and conflict resolution.
- Address employee concerns and grievances in a timely and professional manner.
4. Performance Management:
- Develop and implement performance management systems that align with the organization’s goals.
- Provide training and support to managers on performance appraisal processes.
5. Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and career development.
- Encourage continuous learning and professional growth within the organization.
6. Compensation and Benefits:
- Administer compensation and benefits programs in accordance with organizational policies and market standards.
- Conduct salary surveys and benchmarking to ensure competitiveness.
7. HR Policies and Procedures:
- Develop, update, and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain accurate HR records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.

4. Education, Qualifications, Competences and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of HR international best practices.
- In-depth knowledge of Jordanian labor laws and regulations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills (documents/spreadsheets/databases/presentations/multi-media/calendars/email).
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent Arabic and English Language Proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in human resources or a related field.
- Experience in the sports or non-profit sector is an advantage.
