The Project Manager will lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of programs that promote civic engagement and youth participation while fostering inclusive opportunities within the blue, digital, and green economies.
Responsibilities:
- Develops detailed project work plans covering all economic empowerment and livelihoods activities, specifying stakeholders’ roles and responsibilities, and defining milestones to ensure proper oversight and follow-up.
- Ensures economic empowerment activities—including support for MEMEs, job creation, and workforce development—are technically sound, market-aligned, and responsive to opportunities.
- Coordinates the timely submission of project proposals, reports, and financial documents to donors. Provide guidelines, recommendations, and advice to the Projects Manager regarding operational and financial matters to ensure compliance with agreements and reporting requirements. Monitor project implementation, recommend corrective actions, and ensure the accuracy and quality of final documents submitted to donors.
- Oversees the complete project management cycle, including assignment of project codes, preparation of grant summaries, allocation of funds, financial reconciliation, and closure of completed projects according to donor requirements.
- Leads the revision, consolidation, and finalization of progress and final reporting packages to ensure compliance with donor and organizational policies, and coherence prior to submission.
- · Provides guidance for regular updates on grant agreements, reporting requirements, project chronology, and contractual amendments to keep internal and external stakeholders informed.
- Offers operational and technical advice to project teams to ensure projects meet intended objectives and impact, including formulation of proposals and reports aligned with organizational guidelines.
- Manages day-to-day project operations to ensure successful implementation of activities in line with work plans, donor requirements, and organizational timelines.
- Establishes and monitors the project budget, coordinating with Finance to track expenditures and ensure progress aligns with financial and operational goals.
- Ensures rigorous monitoring and evaluation through periodic reviews to identify gaps, delays, and propose resolutions.
- Implements Project Cycle Management techniques, develop logical frameworks, and document “Lessons Learned” to strengthen organizational project management capacity.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or any related field.
- Excellent English and Arabic language skills (written and spoken).
- 10+ years of experience.
- Extensive experience in livelihoods and economic empowerment programming in post-emergency or development contexts, including private sector engagement and collaboration with local partners in Jordan.
- Strong expertise in project management and leadership, covering team supervision, technical support, project cycle management, and monitoring and evaluation tools.
- In-depth knowledge of local economic development opportunities and challenges, with proven application of gender-sensitive and inclusive approaches.
- Track record in partnership development, donor engagement, and stakeholder coordination, with preferable exposure to sustainable sectors such as the green, blue, or digital economy.
