BACKGROUND


Anera is a nonprofit organization founded in 1968 that provides resources for refugees in Jordan and supports livelihood, education, and humanitarian relief projects. 

Millions of refugees from conflict currently live in Jordan. The country has more than two million Palestinian refugees registered with UNRWA, and about 655,000 Syrian refugees registered with UNHCR. From 2004 to 2011, Anera maintained an office in Jordan that managed primary and vocational education programs, public health, disability support, and women’s empowerment for families in poor communities and refugee camps. 


In 2019, Anera returned to establish a permanent presence in Jordan to support refugees residing there. Anera has found strong support from Jordanian government officials, donors, and leading international organizations in the humanitarian and development fields. Today, Anera is officially registered with the Ministry of Social Development and is a key member of UN sector working group meetings, covering the areas of health, education, livelihoods, and basic needs. 


JOB OVERVIEW:


Anera’s Gaza Patient & Family Support Program ensures that patients evacuated from Gaza to Jordan receive not only medical treatment but also psychosocial care, education continuity, safe housing, and access to essential medicines through Anera’s medical-donations network. The program is implemented in partnership with the World Health Organization (WHO), King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC), the Jordanian Ministry of Health (MoH), and local NGOs. The Project Manager provides overall leadership and management of the program, ensuring timely implementation, strong partner coordination, financial accountability, and integration across all program pillars.


SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Lead overall program planning, budgeting, and execution across seven tracks (Medical Donations, Arrival Tracking, Referral, MHPSS, Education, Family Support, Rehabilitation) in coordination with the DDP and Finance team.
  • Oversee data collection, analysis, and reporting across all program pillars.
  • Coordinate with the MEAL team to ensure data accuracy, learning capture, and adaptive management.
  • Supervise core staff and provide coaching, ensuring clear deliverables and professional development.
  • Oversee partnership agreements with hospitals, NGOs, and private providers.
  • Represent Anera in coordination forums with WHO, MoH, KHCC, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely narrative and financial reporting to DDP, HQ, and donors.
  • Lead risk-management, compliance, and quality-assurance processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Anera’s policies, donor regulations, and safeguarding standards.
  • Work with the BD Officer and Communications Officer to produce funding proposals and visibility materials.


WORK CONDITION:


This position is based in Amman with frequent visits to areas of operation in the field.



Skills

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, or Humanitarian Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience managing health or multi-sector humanitarian programs
  • Demonstrated leadership in program coordination, partner management, and team supervision.
  • Strong understanding of Jordan’s health system and WHO coordination mechanisms.
  • Proven experience in MEAL systems design and data-driven program management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in Arabic and English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Power BI (or similar dashboard tools).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
