We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Cashier cum Waiter who is proficient in English and Arabic to join our hospitality team in Jordan an Indian Restaurant. Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Greet guests warmly in English and Arabic, assist with seating arrangements, and manage guest flow during service hours.
- Handle cashier responsibilities, including processing orders, accepting payments, issuing receipts, and balancing cash at the end of shifts.
- Present menus, explain daily specials, and answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and accommodations for dietary restrictions.
- Take accurate customer orders, relay them to the kitchen or bar, and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions and reconcile cash drawers at shift end.
- Provide attentive and personalized service, anticipate guest needs, and address any concerns or complaints professionally.
- Assist with basic food prep or setup as directed by management, while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the front-of-house area.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation policies and procedures, including proper handling of cash and POS equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow and a positive guest experience.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent university education (preferred for internship alignment).
- Strong bilingual communication skills in English and Arabic, both verbal and written.
- Customer-focused with excellent interpersonal and multitasking abilities.
- Basic math and cash handling proficiency; experience with POS systems is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and lift up to moderate weights as needed.
- Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure during peak hours.
