Role Purpose

This position operates within the UN 2720 Mechanism for Gaza, specifically supporting the Jordan corridor. The role involves managing data related to humanitarian aid, ensuring data quality, and supporting humanitarian partners. The Mechanism works with a wide range of humanitarian partners in Jordan including the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO).

Functions / Key Results Expected

1. Data Management and Entry

•Input and verify data related to humanitarian aid for Gaza through the Jordan Corridor together with JHCO.
•Provide data entry support to organisations registering humanitarian dispatches under the UNOPS platform.
•Prepare and insert the Service Request Form (SRF) under the Logistics Cluster platform.

2. Translation and Support

•Translate submission documents (packing lists and applications) from English to Arabic and vice versa.
•Support organisations in preparing packing lists in accordance with the required standards.

3. Reporting and Analysis

•Assist in the development of forms for data collection and analysis, as requested.
•Support in maintaining updated information in relation to program implementation through drafting needed field reports.

4. Collaboration and Assistance

•Assist colleagues working with the UN 2720 Mechanism across the input of data.
•Perform any other tasks as requested.

Education Requirements

Required

Diploma or University Degree in information sciences, computer sciences or engineering

High School Diploma with 5 years of experience

Technical/Professional Diploma with 3 years of experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience in data management, processing and analysis

Experience in data management, processing and analysis

Good analytical skills and reporting

Proficiency in computers and office software packages (MS Office) and experience in handling web-based management systems

Good presentation skills using data visualisation software
