Develop and monitor fleet KPIs across all field operations. 3. Monitor implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance programmes. Review maintenance costs, vehicle reliability, and workshop performance indicators. Ensure accurate vehicle asset records throughout the asset lifecycle. Support development of vehicle replacement plans based on age, mileage, condition, and operational requirements. Provide technical guidance on vehicle specifications and maintenance standards. 4. Establish fuel management standards and monitoring systems. Monitor fuel consumption and cost-efficiency across all locations. Analyse fuel variances and identify irregularities or potential control weaknesses. Recommend measures to reduce operational costs and improve fleet efficiency. Support implementation of fuel monitoring technologies and reporting tools. 5. Develop and monitor compliance with fleet safety policies and procedures. Review accident reports, investigate trends, and monitor implementation of corrective actions. Ensure compliance with vehicle registration, insurance, licensing, and roadworthiness requirements. Coordinate fleet audits, compliance reviews, and implementation of audit recommendations. Promote driver safety programmes and risk mitigation initiatives. 6. Oversee fleet information systems, telematics, GPS tracking, and reporting platforms. Ensure data integrity and accuracy of fleet records across field offices. Develop analytical tools and visual dashboards to support decision-making. Promote digitalization and automation of fleet management processes. Assess and implement innovative fleet technologies and best practices. 7. Serve as the HQ focal point for fleet management across field operations. Provide technical advice and support to field fleet focal points and management. Develop training materials, SOPs, and operational guidance documents. Conduct fleet reviews, support missions, and capacity-building initiatives. Facilitate knowledge sharing and dissemination of best practices across the organization. Qualifications/special skills Minimum Qualifications: A first university degree from an accredited educational institution in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field. A minimum of six years of responsible and relevant work experience in mechanical engineering, supply/transport operations as well as management experience, especially staff management. Professional Qualifications: Knowledge of personal computer applications. Knowledge of automotive engineering. Desirable Qualifications: Thorough knowledge of local traffic rules and regulations. POSITION DESCRIPTION The Proposal Writing & Business Development Manager leads Amideast Jordan’s efforts to expand its donor and client portfolio by identifying funding opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and advancing new business in alignment with the organization’s strategic priorities. The role works closely with the Country Director, headquarters, technical teams in the Jordan office as well as regionally, and external partners to strengthen Amideast’s market positioning and pursue new opportunities. The incumbent manages the business development process from opportunity identification through proposal submission by researching donor priorities and client needs, pursuing and meeting with new potential clients, assessing Amideast’s service portfolio, and working with technical and operational teams to design responsive, feasible solutions. Eleven years into the Syrian conflict, more than 1.3 million Syrians have sought refuge in Jordan. This influx of refugees has strained Jordan's economy and resources, with Syrians often accepting worse working conditions and lower compensation than Jordanians and taking on low-skill, informal jobs in sectors such as in manufacturing, construction and agriculture. In 2022, Jordan had a 23% unemployment rate. For Syrian refugees, unemployment rates are significantly worse with 80% of Syrian refugees unemployed in 2021, up from 50% and 65% in 2019 and 2020. Action Against Hunger has been operational in Jordan since 2014, delivering livelihoods, social protection WASH and MHPSS programming in Irbid, Zarqa, Mafraq, and Madaba governorates. Through its livelihoods and social protection program, ACF aims to improve the livelihoods status of Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanians through decent and sustainable employment opportunities; strengthening sustainable livelihoods and value chains and enhancing the capacity of local actors to promote economic opportunities and improve working conditions.
