Islamic Relief Worldwide is an internationally recognized charity (Charity No.: 328158), looking back on nearly 30 years of experience in humanitarian and developmental aid. It was founded in 1984 in Birmingham, UK, in response to the devastating famine in the Horn of Africa. Since then, Islamic Relief has grown into a charity that is active worldwide, putting development projects, emergency aid, and rebuilding projects into action in over 44 countries around the world.   Islamic Relief Jordan (IRJ) began its operations in 1997 with orphan’s sponsorship, sponsoring hundreds of orphans living in Jordan. IRJ extended its programs to seasonal projects with Ramadan and Qurbani distributions and In-Kind donations. IRJ has established strong partnership with international non-governmental organization and local one’s strengthening the overall response to the Syria crisis. At the onset of Syria humanitarian crisis in late 2011, IRJ provided emergency response to those affected by violence in Syria and has since then scaled up its capacity and operations with number of 70 staff across the country.   IRJ programme department works toward introducing relevant interventions to Jordanians as well as Syrians and Palestinians refugees that would impact their lives and improve their life conditions. IRJ programme act upon IRW mandate and in line with IR-Middle East and Eastern Europe strategy that aims to ensure Safe, dignified and peaceful living conditions for refugees, IDPs and vulnerable groups as well as communities at risk of disasters in the Middle East. IRJ office has expanded with the Syrian crisis in 2011, reaching more than 200,000 refugees by 2013 with an annual income of 35,000,000 GBP.    The department has successfully introduced interventions in a multi-sectors response, being the lead agency responsible for humanitarian assistance in the north of Jordan, reaching more than 240,000 beneficiaries in 2021 and continue providing access to food, health care, cash for shelter and non-food items such as hygiene kits and winterization items in 2021. The programme department is now strategizing the Syrian crisis response in Jordan and working toward a holistic integrated approach with the host community and planning to move toward sustainable development through introducing innovative approaches in education promotion, community development and economic empowerment.     Our values and commitment to safeguarding: IRJ is committed to preventing any type of unwanted behavior at work including sexual harassment, exploitation and abuse, lack of integrity, and financial misconduct; and committed to promoting the welfare of children, young people, adults, and beneficiaries with whom IRJ engages. IRJ also participates in the Inter-Agency Misconduct Disclosure Scheme.   In line with this Scheme, we will request information from job applicants’ previous employers about any findings of sexual exploitation, sexual abuse, and/or sexual harassment during employment, or incidents under investigation when the applicant left employment.   Job Purpose:   Islamic Relief World Wide-Jordan Office is providing support in rehabilitation, renovation and construction projects around the kingdom in which the organization is rehabilitating and construction governmental schools in Al-Mafraq as well as constructing playing fields in the selected schools which will also have training and awareness sessions. The organization is also working on construction & rehabilitation projects for housing units in Gaza camp in Jerash and Irbid alongside other projects. Also working on rehabilitation projects for governmental building such as health centers.     KEY RESPONSIBILITIES   The candidate is expected to supervise the construction and rehabilitation works around the country in which he/she will conduct site visits to prepare the necessary documents (BOQs, daily/monthly reports, assessments and organizational reports) as well as conduct site supervision, design reviews, tender preparation & review to ensure the highest engineering standards keeping in mind the internal polices of the organization. The candidate will also need to follow up with related stakeholders, local CBOs & NGOs to coordinate the work and obtain any necessary approvals and finally achieve any given task.   Under the supervision of the Senior Infrastructure Officer, Project Officer/Engineer duties include: - <ul> <li>overseeing the delivery of construction and rehabilitation projects in selected areas in Jordan, this includes ensuring the quality of component design and implementation and monitoring projects activities so as to understand how they might be improved.</li> <li>Assume primary responsibility for daily project management and implementation at the field level.</li> <li>Report on the project achievements for the line manager during the project implementation period.</li> <li>Coordinate with media department to fulfill the media materials/visibility required for the project based on the donor’s guidelines.</li> <li>Prepare with contractor and respective authority/owner for the handing over of each site when the project is near to finish.</li> <li>Prepare, check the quality and accuracy of all documents submitted by the contractor/consultation office (Drawings, B.O.Qs, beneficiary lists, reports, analysis, forms etc.).</li> <li>Contribute to the design and implementation of baseline, end-line and needs assessments.</li> <li>Ensure the project is implemented based on the approved implementation plan by the donor.</li> <li>Maintain follow up on the risks that may arise and ensure placing mitigation procedures to avoid any concern may affect the project on field level.</li> <li>To be accountable for the budget approved by the donor/ budget holder for this specific project.</li> <li>To attend related sector meetings and any other stakeholder meetings need to accomplish the project activities.</li> <li>Ensure date collection and well organized and safe filing for the project’s files and data.</li> <li>Make sure that all assessments are entered to the system 100% accurate.</li> <li>Conduct administrative, logistical, and financial duties related to all aspects of project implementation. </li> <li>Participate in all programmes’ distributions including NFI and seasonal projects according to policies and procedures & as assigned by the line manager.</li> <li>To oversee the support in the relevant documentation and reporting.</li> <li>Draft and provide needed inputs for weekly, monthly and quarterly reports and ensure timely submission of reports.</li> <li>Coordinate daily activities, including schedule and delivery of activities, and case referrals.</li> <li>Ensure safety and security of beneficiaries’ children and team.</li> <li>Provide support for organizing visits, meeting, events, training and workshops.</li> <li>Provide the required documentation to other department’s specially MEAL department, and ensure the full documentation for all the projects per IRJ standards.</li> <li>Liaison with line ministries to facilitate the needed approvals.</li> <li>Carry out any other duties as assigned or required from time to time by the line manager.</li> </ul>       KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES   <ul> <li>  Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.</li> <li>  3-10 years of experience in infrastructure projects, experience in maintaining government buildings would be an advantage.</li> <li>  Knowledge of the political situation and cultural norms in Jordan in general is desired.</li> <li>Practical experience in the following fields: Rehabilitation, Renovation, and Construction.</li> <li>Excellent skills in MS Office software.</li> <li>Good AutoCAD Skills.</li> <li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li> <li>Experience in quantity surveying and engineering contracts</li> <li>Ability to prepare bills of quantity (BOQ)</li> <li>Good value engineering skills is a plus.</li> </ul>   Core humanitarian competencies: <ul> <li>Understanding of humanitarian contexts and principles:</li> <li>Good understanding of humanitarian issues, with experience of/or ability to work directly with local NGOs or communities.</li> <li>Sympathy with the aims and objectives of organization and commitment to humanitarian principles and the Red Cross and INGO's code of conduct.</li> </ul>   Achieving Results effectively: <ul> <li>Very good time management abilities.</li> <li>Very good judgment and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Very good decision-making.  </li> </ul>   Managing yourself in a pressured and changing environment: <ul> <li>Demonstrated ability at being flexible and adapting to changing situations.</li> <li>The ability to remain calm while dealing with conflicting priorities and working under pressure.</li> </ul>     Operating safely and securely in a humanitarian response: <ul> <li>Relevant experience in implementing security policy/protocols.</li> </ul>       Leadership in humanitarian response: <ul> <li>High-level interpersonal, influencing and communications skills.</li> <li>Consistently approaches work with energy and a positive, constructive attitude.</li> </ul>     Languages: <ul> <li>Excellent skill in spoken and written English.</li> </ul>

الشخص المعني مسؤولاً أمام مدير البرنامج الإقليمي. ستكون واجباتك ومسؤولياتك الأساسية كالتالي:   إدارة المشروع والقيادة: <ul> <li>توفير القيادة الاستراتيجية والتشغيلية للمشروع بالتوافق مع إرشادات DRC والجهة المانحة.</li> <li>إشراف التخطيط والتنبؤ وإدارة الميزانية وتنفيذ جميع أنشطة المشروع.</li> <li>القيام بدور الرابط الرئيسي مع المانح (مشروع GIZ CfW)، وجهة مياه وادي الأردن (JVA)، ووزارة الزراعة والجهات المعنية الأخرى.</li> <li>ضمان دمج مبادئ العمل اللائق، وعدم الإيذاء، والمساءلة طوال التنفيذ.</li> <li>توفير حضور ميداني لا يقل عن ثلاثة أيام عمل في الأسبوع في مواقع المشروع في غور Safe ووجهات التنفيذ الأخرى.</li> <li>إبقاء الإشراف المباشر على تقدم التنفيذ اليومي وإنتاجية القوى العاملة وجودة العمل وأداء المقاولين وترتيبات إدارة الموقع.</li> </ul>   الإشراف الفني <ul> <li>قيادة التخطيط الفني والإشراف على التصميم وتنفيذ هياكل حماية التربة والماء (سدود gabion، جدران داعمة، riprap، مجاري، إلخ).</li> <li>قيادة وتنسيق مراجعة جميع التصاميم الهندسية، والرسومات الفنية، وBOQs، وتحديثات التصميم، مع
