Description

About Open
Open.cx is the AI-native customer support platform built for enterprises that cannot afford slow, expensive, or mediocre support. We automate over 80% of interactions for companies like MoneyGram, Mollie, TicketSwap, and More.com handling voice, email, and web at massive scale with AI that thinks fast and feels human.

We are backed by Y Combinator, Pioneer Fund, and X by Unifonic. We recently raised $7M+ and are accelerating from a startup into a global scale-up. Our customers replace entire stacks of legacy tools, cut support costs by up to 12×, and deliver dramatically better experiences to their own customers.

We are a small, high-output team that ships fast, works directly with customers, and genuinely cares about the product we are building.

Your role

Open.cx is on a 3–5× ARR year, scaling from a handful of enterprise logos to category-contender status. We need a financial architect to build the foundation for that growth and stay with us all the way through the next decade of scale.

Today, finance at Open lives in the founders' heads, a few spreadsheets, and an outsourced accounting partner. Your first mission is to turn that into a structured, compounding system—a single source of truth on revenue, cash, burn, runway, unit economics, and pipeline that the leadership team trusts and acts on every week and that Series A investors will be proud to sign off on.

What you'll do

Year 1+

First 100 days

Listen tour: founders, every GTM leader, every customer-facing team. Map how money actually moves today.

Stand up the weekly metrics email and the monthly board pack version 1.

Clean up the chart of accounts; compress the close to 5 business days.

Build the version 1 forecast model that survives contact with reality. Run it weekly.

Choose the finance stack (NetSuite or QBO + Stripe/Maxio + Brex/Ramp/Pleo + Pigment/Cube/Mosaic).

Diagnose unit economics: AI cost per resolved ticket, gross margin by segment, CAC payback by channel.

Months 4–9

Quarterback the Series A: model, narrative, data room, diligence, term-sheet review.

Stand up multi-entity consolidation cleanly (EU/US subsidiaries).

Build the pricing and deal-desk function—enterprise contract reviews, custom terms, ASC 606 compliance.

Establish board cadence and investor reporting that the next round's leads will trust.

Months 10–18

Hit the targeted ARR WIG. Be the finance leader at the table for every enterprise close.

Stand up audit-readiness in advance of Series B.

Partner with the CEO on geographic expansion, M&A signals, and pricing 2.0.

Year 2+

Series B prep and close. Finance team scales to 7–12. Audit, tax, treasury, FX programme.

Requirements

What we're looking for

Player-coach mindset: you are not above the spreadsheet. You can build the model on a Saturday and present it to a Sequoia partner on Monday. You know you will grow out of this work but not for 12 months, and you are clear-eyed about that.

First-principles thinker: you see chaos (disconnected systems, copy-pasted spreadsheets, inconsistent ARR definitions) and your brain draws the clean version.

Commercially minded: you are as comfortable in a pricing conversation as in a close. You can read a usage-based contract and tell the AE what to push back on.

AI-native: you have already wired AI into your finance workflow (Claude, MCP servers, Pigment, Mosaic, custom automations). You can show us a workflow you built that compressed a finance task by 5–10×. We are an AI company; our finance leader uses AI like our engineers do, as the default, not the exception.

Outcomes-driven: you want to move real numbers: runway extended, gross margin lifted, fundraise closed at a better valuation.

Sits at any table: you can translate seamlessly between our CEO, an enterprise CFO, a Sequoia partner, and an SDR.

Bonus points

Experience at a SaaS company, ideally in infrastructure, AI, or CX.

Multi-entity, multi-currency operating experience (especially MENA + EU + US).

Lived through one IPO, acquisition, or unicorn round as part of the finance team.

Network into top-tier Series A/B investors who would back our next round.

Experience with usage-based or hybrid pricing models in B2B SaaS.

You contribute publicly on AI-in-finance (posts, talks, GitHub, Substack) even casually.

Benefits

What we offer

YC-backed with real traction; we are in-market, growing, and trusted by enterprise names you know.

Outsized career trajectory; early team members grow into leadership as we scale globally.

Real ownership; your work will be seen, felt, and talked about company-wide.

High-trust team; no politics, no bureaucracy; we move fast and support each other.

Competitive compensation; top-of-market salary plus equity and full benefits.

About Lucidya Lucidya is an AI-native platform for customer experience (CX) intelligence that manages entire customer lifecycles autonomously, from initial engagement through retention and growth.
Unlike platforms that only surface insights and leave the action to you, Lucidya completes the loop with proprietary NLU capabilities developed entirely in-house and trained on millions of multilingual conversations, equipping marketing, support, CX, and research teams to deliver personalized experiences that drive measurable improvements in customer satisfaction, retention, and lifetime value.
Why This Role Matters At Lucidya, we are building products that help some of the region's most recognizable brands understand and engage with their customers at scale.
As our platform grows, so does the complexity of the problems we solve.
Great product ideas are easy.
Turning them into products that customers actually use, engineers can confidently build, and the business can successfully launch is much harder.
That's where this role comes in.
As a Product Owner, you'll sit at the center of product delivery.
You'll be responsible for turning customer problems, product strategy, and business priorities into clear, actionable work that engineering and design teams can execute with confidence.
Your impact won't be measured by how many Jira tickets you create.
It will be measured by how effectively you help the team build the right things, reduce delivery friction, avoid costly rework, and deliver meaningful value to customers faster.
You'll work closely with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, QA, and customer-facing teams to ensure everyone understands the problem we're solving, why it matters, and what success looks like.
If you enjoy bringing structure to ambiguity, asking great questions, and helping teams move faster without sacrificing quality, you'll thrive here.
What You'll DoCreate clarity where others see complexity You'll take customer feedback, business requests, product strategy, and technical requirements and transform them into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and requirements that teams can confidently build from.
Own squad readiness You'll make sure backlog items are ready before they enter development.
Engineers shouldn't be discovering major requirements halfway through a sprint.
You'll ensure the team has the context, detail, and alignment needed to deliver predictably.
Help the team build the right things You'll partner closely with Product Managers to break large initiatives into smaller, valuable releases that allow us to learn quickly and deliver customer value faster.
Drive productive collaboration You'll act as the bridge between product, design, engineering, QA, and customer-facing teams, ensuring everyone is aligned on priorities, scope, dependencies, and expected outcomes.
Challenge unclear thinking When requirements are vague, assumptions are risky, or priorities don't make sense, you'll ask the hard questions.
Respectfully, but confidently.
Reduce delivery friction You'll identify risks, dependencies, and gaps before they become problems.
Your goal is to help the team spend less time clarifying work and more time delivering value.
Protect quality and customer experience You'll think beyond the happy path by considering edge cases, permissions, error handling, workflows, and usability before features reach customers.
Support successful launches You'll help ensure internal teams understand what is being released, how it works, and what customers should expect through clear release notes, documentation, and enablement materials.
Who You AreYou bring structure without creating bureaucracy You love organization, but you know process should help teams move faster, not slow them down.
You care about outcomes, not ticket completion Closing a story isn't success.
Solving a customer problem is.
You ask great questions You naturally challenge assumptions, uncover hidden requirements, and identify risks before they become expensive mistakes.
You communicate clearly You can explain a complex technical requirement to a designer, a customer problem to an engineer, and a product decision to a stakeholder without creating confusion.
You thrive in cross-functional environments You enjoy working closely with engineers, designers, QA, Product Managers, and customer-facing teams to solve problems collaboratively.
You have strong product delivery experience You have at least 3 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Associate Product Manager, or a similar role where you've owned requirements, backlog management, and delivery readiness.
You're comfortable with technical concepts You don't need to write code, but you're comfortable discussing APIs, integrations, data models, permissions, workflows, and platform behavior with engineering teams.
You're comfortable with ambiguity You won't always receive perfect requirements or complete information.
You're able to create clarity and move things forward without waiting for every answer.
You'll likely stand out if you have experience with: B2B SaaS products Customer Experience (CX) platforms Social listening or customer
