Roles and Responsibilities:
The main role of the School Doctor is to apply medical expertise to ensure the safety and well-being of the school community. This includes promoting health, disease prevention, and correct lifestyle practices. The following are key duties and responsibilities (but are not limited to):
- Being responsible for the department’s clinics and emergency management.
- Contacting the MOH and MOE for the observation and control of infectious diseases.
- Coordinating the medical team to reach goals in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere where each one can give his/her professional contribution in respect of his/her role.
- Motivating the young generation awareness about good health diseases, correct health behaviors and environment protection through educational sessions in cooperation with the responsible department.
- Coordinating & supervising the medical team.
- Organizing the clinic’s medicines and ordering medical supplies.
- Supervising the medical files for each department in cooperation with the department clinic.
- Coordinating & organizing the yearly medical general check-up for all the students.
- Following up vaccination procedures and vaccination sessions for the students.
- Handling daily emergency cases and following them up.
- Overseeing the school’s population health including guidelines and procedures suggestions in case of epidemics or environmental hazards in cooperation with MOH & MOE.
Job Qualifications:
- University degree in Medicine
- Good knowledge of computer skills.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle different medical scenarios.
- Excellent planning, coordinating, organizing, reporting and analyzing abilities are essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relations.
