Job Purpose




  • Seeking a dynamic and strategic General Manager to spearhead the company's growth initiatives and open new export markets. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a forward-thinking mindset, and the ability to adopt and implement new technologies and systems to drive the company forward.

Principal Accountabilities




  • ·Design & execute strategy and set goals for business growth
  • ·Oversee day-to-day operations
  • ·Maintain budgets and optimize expenses
  • ·Set governance, policies and processes in accordance with the Company’s Corporate Governance Code
  • ·Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
  • ·Evaluate and improve operational and financial performance
  • ·Prepare Submit regular reports for the Board of Directors and manage expectations ensuring effective communication
  • ·Ensure that all staff follow quality standards and adhere to health & safety regulations
  • ·Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors)

Duties and Responsibilities:



Strategic


  • ­Participating in the development and implementation of MH/JPCC strategy to meet BoD vision and objectives, as well as generating revenue, profitability, and growth
  • ­Conducting timely presentations to the Board of Directors pertaining to the company performance
  • ­Ensuring that every individual department is giving their best possible outputs, and recommending and devising any new policies that are likely to prove beneficial to the goodwill of the company
  • ­Achieving the budgeted monthly and annual plan sales, profits and cash flow contribution for the company by the effective implementation of approved strategies within the scope of the annual plan and budget
  • ­Ensuring the consistent timely delivery of fully accurate financial and management reports, including annual and monthly operating budget, financial, sales, production and QA reports
  • ­Contributing to the planning and achievement of future growth and development of the company
  • ­Identifying and directing the implementation of the set strategies and plans developed by divisions/departments heads
  • ­Advising MH/JPCC directors and mangers on strategic business developments, key planning issues and making recommendations on various business decisions
  • ­Planning, managing and directing MH/JPCC activities that fall within area of responsibility, to achieve set targets and standards for performance and quality
  • ­Directing the development of estimated budgets, and monitoring the expenditures and financial performance in coordination with the corporate Finance function
  • ­Reviewing and revising objectives and plans for compliance with current / changing conditions on regular basis
  • ­Maintaining and developing corporate culture, values and reputation with all staff, customers, suppliers, partners and bodies

Operational / Technical


  • ­Directing and coordinating organization's financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency
  • ­Monitoring and reporting market activities and performance, through the effective use of tracking studies, market research and field sales reporting methodologies, tools and reporting system
  • ­Ensuring achievement of finished goods monthly production volumes
  • ­Ensuring the timely receipt of all raw materials and packaging materials, to the proscribed specification, in a quantity sufficient to meet the production requirements
  • ­Maintaining systems appropriate to the full and timely reporting and reviewing of all business activities of the company
  • ­Managing and developing the company’s distribution structures, customer base and field selling resources
  • ­Devising and implementing approved marketing strategies in order to minimally achieve the targeted brand shares in the categories and segments in which the company competes
  • ­Recommending and then developing to launch, within agreed timescales and scope, new products, line extensions and brand compatible with the future aspirations and growth of the company
  • ­Devising and implementing effective sales promotions, pricing strategies and advertising programs
  • ­Ensuring adherence to all proscribed QA and manufacturing protocols; monitoring their effective implementation; and updating on a timely basis, as appropriate
  • ­Approving MH/JPCC budget, as well asdirecting and coordinating formulation of financial strategies and plans to provide funding for new or continuing operations to maximize returns on investments and to increase efficiency
  • ­Monitoring the financial performance of MH/JPCC; operating the capital budgets; monthly financial statements, cash flows; and reviewing income and costs relative to the goals and taking effective corrective actions as necessary
  • ­Continuously monitoring the performance of the plants and administrating the continuous development, as well as increasing the quality of products offered to clients to achieve customer satisfaction and boost market share
  • ­Continuously monitoring the performance of the different support activities in MH/JPCC such as Administration, Human Resources, and Finance to ensure utilization of resources and enhance the efficiency
  • ­Analysing and reviewing delivered reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining goals and amending goals and plans in accordance with existing conditions

People Management


  • ­Selecting and recruiting directors and managers for MH/JPCC functions in coordination with Human Resources function
  • ­Conducting periodic meetings with subordinates to ensure that priorities are clear and workflow is running smoothly
  • ­Monitoring and evaluating the performance of subordinates and their respective functions and ensuring compliance with policies and objectives of MH/JPCC, as well as assessing their contributions/ efforts towards attaining the set objectives
  • ­Following-up on subordinates' administrative affairs such as: vacations, leaves…etc
  • ­Nominating a deputy to carry out the responsibility of the position whenever the need arises
  • ­Performing other related roles & responsibilities as required by the Board of Directors


Requirements·BSc/BA in Business or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus
·Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role at
least 7 years

·Experience in planning and budgeting
·Business Acumen and strong knowledge in business processes and functions
(Marketing, Sales, Export, Manufacturing, Finance, HR, Supply Chain, TQM,
 Operations & Production)

·Outstanding Organizational and Leadership skills
·Strong financial and analytical skills
·Excellent communication skills
