<strong>POSITION DESCRIPTION:</strong><br>
The Cybersecurity and Data Protection Officer is responsible for protecting the organization’s information systems, networks, data, and digital assets from cyber threats, unauthorized access, and security breaches. This role involves developing and implementing security policies, monitoring systems for vulnerabilities and suspicious activities, conducting security gap analysis, risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry security standards.<br>

In addition, the role is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to cybersecurity and data privacy through advising on emerging risks, supporting audits and regulatory reviews, managing third-party security and privacy risks, and promoting a culture of security awareness and responsible data handling throughout the organization.<br>

<strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong><br>
•<span > </span>Develop, implement, maintain, and oversee enforcement of policies, procedures, and associated plans for system security administration and user system access based on industry-standard best practices<br>
•<span > </span>Implement, maintain, and monitor security compliance such as ISO (International Organization for Standardization), NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology), and SOC (System and Organization Controls) standards<br>

<p ><span ><strong>WORK ENVIRONMENT:</strong><br>
If the successful candidate is hired in Morocco (Casablanca or Rabat), Tunisia (Tunis), Jordan (Amman), or West Bank (Ramallah), the position will operate under a hybrid work arrangement working 4 days per week remotely and 1 day per week from an Amideast office. If the successful candidate is hired in Egypt (Cairo or Alexandria), the position will operate full time (5 days per week) from the local Amideast office. <br>

<p>Under the supervision of the English Language & Institutional Development Programs Manager and working with the other team members of youth and workforce development programs, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting the implementation of language training, professional capacity building, youth empowerment and skills related training projects. The Youth Development Programs Senior Officer also supports ongoing administrative operations of the Training & Partnerships team as related to testing, enrolments, grading, assigning students into respective classes and reporting. The Youth Development Programs Senior Officer supports project implementation, on grant or donor funded programs for youth and workforce development, by coordinating with teachers for their schedules, scope of work, compliance, communicating with clients/donors to send updates, and by conducting field visits to program sites to support line management and the EL Manager in assessing program quality, monitoring and evaluation, and providing logistical and procurement support. <p><b> POSITION DESCRIPTION T</b>he Proposal Writing & Business Development Manager leads Amideast Jordan s efforts to expand its donor and client portfolio by identifying funding opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and advancing new business in alignment with the organization s strategic priorities. The role works closely with the Country Director, headquarters, technical teams in the Jordan office as well as regionally, and external partners to strengthen Amideast s market positioning and pursue new opportunities. The incumbent manages the business development process from opportunity identification through proposal submission by researching donor priorities and client needs, pursuing and meeting with new potential clients, assessing Amideast s service portfolio, and working with technical and operational teams to design responsive, feasible solutions. The role prepares competitive technical and cost proposals, ensures compliance with Amideast s internal processes, secures required approvals, meets submission deadlines, and maintains relationships with current and prospective donors and clients to support sustainable organizational growth. <p>Under the supervision of the Human Resources and Operations Manager, the Procurement and Operations Assistant is responsible for managing the office's daily procurement and operational activities, ensuring the timely acquisition and delivery of goods, services, and works in full compliance with Amideast's Procurement Policy and internal procedures. The incumbent plays a key role in procuring high-quality, cost-effective goods and services while ensuring value for money, timely delivery, and adherence to approved budgets. The position is also responsible for coordinating facility maintenance activities and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the office premises are safe, functional, and well maintained. In addition, the incumbent oversees outsourced service providers, including cleaning, security, maintenance, and catering, monitors service quality and staff performance, and supports the efficient operation of the office. <p>The Proposal Writing & Business Development Manager leads Amideast Jordan’s efforts to expand its donor and client portfolio by identifying funding opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and advancing new business in alignment with the organization’s strategic priorities. The role works closely with the Country Director, headquarters, technical teams in the Jordan office as well as regionally, and external partners to strengthen Amideast s market positioning and pursue new opportunities. The incumbent manages the business development process from opportunity identification through proposal submission by researching donor priorities and client needs, pursuing and meeting with new potential clients, assessing Amideast s service portfolio, and working with technical and operational teams to design responsive, feasible solutions.
