You will join our team of consultants working across project management, technical backstopping, tendering, and business development. You will help lead the delivery of our donor-funded water supply projects while managing international and national expert teams and liaising with our clients and funding agencies. We are looking for motivated and committed colleagues (m/f) to support the day-to-day management of our on-going projects and contribute to the acquisition of new ones. Employment contract over 12 months (extendable).</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Carrying out project management and backstopping activities, including:</li><li>Managing and supervising multidisciplinary teams of international and national experts;</li><li>Assigning tasks and monitoring expert inputs and performance;</li><li>Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff and national counterparts;</li><li>Coordinating with home-office backstopping teams, subconsultants, and joint-venture or consortium partners;</li><li>Reporting on progress (project work and financial status), milestones, KPIs, and deviations from baseline plans;</li><li>Ensuring deliverables meet QA/AC standards, applicable design codes/standards, and client/donor requirements;</li><li>Maintaining document control, version management, and a structured review/sign-off process;</li><li>Serving as the primary point of contact for the client, employer, and funding agency;</li><li>Liaising with government ministries, water utilities, regulators, municipalities, and local authorities; and,</li><li>Managing expectations and negotiating solutions to technical and contractual issues with the client.</li></ul><p>Performing expert assignments, including:</p><ul><li>Preparing master plans, feasibility studies, conceptual/preliminary designs, and detailed designs for water resource development (abstraction and treatment), supply and transmission, and network distribution projects. Proven experience in integrating energy-efficiency optimisation, non-revenue water reduction, and improved operational performance into planning and design solutions is preferred;</li><li>Developing and supervising hydraulic models using established industry-standard software (e.g., EPANET, WaterGEMS/InfoWater);</li><li>Drafting technical specifications, bills of quantities (BoQ), cost estimates, and engineering drawings;</li><li>Preparing and ensuring the quality of all contractual reports: inception, draft and final reports, progress (monthly/quarterly), interim submissions (e.g., minutes of meeting, technical notes, etc.), presentations, and briefing materials for the client and donor; and,</li><li>Ensuring timely, accurate, and well-structured reporting in the required formats.</li></ul><p>Overseeing tendering procedures in line with donor requirements and guidelines (KfW, GIZ, World Bank, EU/EC, etc.), including:</p><ul><li>Drafting prequalification documents, tender/bidding documents, and technical specifications;</li><li>Preparing and reviewing evaluation reports (prequalification, technical, and financial evaluation);</li><li>Supporting contract negotiation and award and advising the client on procurement strategy and packaging of works; and,</li><li>Applying relevant contract forms (e.g. FIDIC Red/Yellow Book) and standard donor bidding documents.</li></ul><p>L eading and coordinating with the Business Development team on project acquisition activities, including:</p><ul><li>Contributing to expressions of interest (EoI) and pre-qualification submissions;</li><li>Preparing fully-fledged technical and financial bids/proposals for new opportunities;</li><li>Drafting methodology/approach write-ups;</li><li>Supporting identification of new projects, partners, and key experts; and</li><li>Contributing to the development of work plans, staffing schedules, and pricing.</li></ul><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><p>Qualifications and Skills:</p><ul><li>Bachelor s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related field. A relevant master s degree is preferred.</li><li>Project management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) is considered an asset.</li><li>Minimum of 10 years professional experience in managing water supply projects in an international development cooperation context, preferably in the MENA region and/or Sub-Saharan Africa.</li><li>Excellent English and Arabic language skills. Language skills in French would be an asset.</li><li>Prior work experience in donor funded water supply projects.</li><li>Ability to work in intercultural teams and willingness to travel abroad.</li><li>Communicate with clients and donor agencies.</li><li>Proven writing, communication and presentation skills.</li><li>Working experience in development cooperation.</li></ul>

<p><strong>About you</strong></p>
<p>To be successful in this role we expect that you possess the following:</p>

<li>Minimum 10 years of professional experience as a Civil Engineer, with expertise in water and soil conservation infrastructure.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience in design and supervision of gabion check dams, retaining walls, riprap, culverts, and flood/erosion control structures.</li>
<li>At least 5 years of INGO experience managing donor-funded construction and Cash-for-Work (CfW)/livelihoods projects in Jordan.</li>
<li>Proven ability to work effectively with government stakeholders including JVA, MoA, and municipalities.</li>
<li>Strong skills in project cycle management, budget oversight, and donor reporting.</li>

<p><h4>Job description</h4>
<p>Employee will be part of the deployment pool and will be required to support deployments to various CONUS/OCONUS locations as required. This position will require the member to be flexible in the support of assigned deployment/work schedules.</p>
<p>Supports an aircraft ground equipment (AGE) shop in a medium to large-sized military aircraft flying organization. Ensures the timely and proper performance of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on AGE equipment and light support vehicles. Inspects, tests, and operates AGE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation. Diagnoses mechanical and electrical circuitry malfunctions. Interprets drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical data to facilitate repairs and/or modifications to ground support equipment.</p>
<p>Identifies appropriate replacement parts in TOs and technical documents and orders those parts. Removes, disassembles, repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles, and re-installs AGE accessories and components. Stencils and marks AGE as appropriate. Services equipment with fuel, oil, coolant, water, hydraulic fluid, and air as required. Operates, cleans, inspects, and services AGE tow vehicles. Maintains and documents AGE equipment and tow vehicle forms. Positions equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations. Schedules PMIs as required. Adheres to safety procedures and follows technical orders as applicable.</p>

<h4>Essential responsibilities</h4>
<p>Maintains external fuel and grounding systems; performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on GSE; inspects, tests, and operates GSE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation; services equipment with fuel, oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, and compressed air; diagnoses mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test equipment, and technical publications.</p>
<p>Disassembles and assembles malfunctioning basic GSE accessories and components; removes, disassembles repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles, and reinstalls GSE components and accessories; stencils and marks GSE in accordance with technical publications; stores, handles, labels, uses, and disposes of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with all state, local, and federal environmental standards and regulations.</p>
<p>Prepares GSE for storage and mobility deployment; and operates, cleans, inspects, and services GSE towing vehicles.</p>
<p>Assists in maintaining vehicle records and assists with updating paper and electronic equipment records; provides dispatch service for GSE, including positioning equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations; practices good housekeeping, tool control, foreign object damage prevention, and safety at all times.</p>

<h4>Minimum requirements</h4>

<li>Must have high school diploma or have completed relevant military and/or vocational technical school curriculum.</li>
<li>Minimum of one-year actual AGE maintenance experience required.</li>
<li>Must be qualified with most basic types and uses of AGE equipment.</li>
<li>Must be familiar with diesel engine maintenance and repair, and HVAC maintenance and repair at the basic level.</li>
<li>Must be able to perform increment monitor duties to include but not limited to equipment/cargo preparation, documentation, pallet build-up, and hazardous cargo.</li>
<li>Must be able to inspect, repair, and operate ground support and auxiliary equipment.</li>
<li>Must achieve a passing grade in all required courses/certifications for continued employment, as needed.</li>
<li>Employee must meet all OCONUS deployment criteria, to include pre-deployment medical screening, as a condition of employment.</li>
