Iqlaa’s approach explores new ways of doing business and improving access to finance, markets, and services. It focuses on four sectors: agriculture, tourism and hospitality, manufacturing, and services, with a special focus on technology development and implementation. The program encourages and supports the participation of all MSE-owner segments. </span></span></p>

Program activities are delivered with a strong localization element to respond to specific market needs and the local context. Iqlaa also leverages innovative behavioral change methodologies to facilitate long-term, sustainable changes in the MSEs ecosystem in Jordan.</span></span></p>

The Regional Director leads DCO's interface at the regional level, ensuring effective horizontal collaboration across the UN Development System. The Regional Director performs a key strategic role in advancing the collaboration across regional mechanisms, including the Regional Platforms for Integration, and provides field-facing support to regional and country offices, in close collaboration with the Regional Economic Commission. Central to Iqlaa’s strategy is its commitment to an evidence-based approach, underpinned by a streamlined research management framework. This ensures that findings are effectively disseminated, translated into actionable recommendations, and developed into accessible resources. By adopting this approach, Iqlaa aims to drive impactful and sustainable interventions for MSEs and key ecosystem actors, at both the enterprise and market levels.</span></p>

The platform will serve as an accessible evidence-based tool to support policymakers, development partners, and market actors in understanding local economic dynamics and identifying opportunities for targeted interventions and exploring spatial patterns, trends, and relationships across integrated datasets to inform planning, policy development, and operational decision-making.</span></p>

The programme is covering the full mandate of HI emergency, mine action and development with a strong focus on continuum and resilience. The program has a total volume expected for 2026 of 12M Euros with 300 staff. The main sectors of intervention are integrated rehabilitation and MHPSS, inclusive education, Economic inclusion including basic needs and economic recovery), Humanitarian mines actions and Inclusive Humanitarian Actions/Inclusive governance. Education is one of the core sector of intervention in most of the countries within the region. HI currently implements inclusive education projects in Jordan, Lebanon and Syria, while seeking to develop interventions in Egypt.
