In close coordination with the PFL researchers, Forensic expert, and A&E, the OSI Analyst plays a central role in enhancing the Search Team’s response by ensuring that OSI relevant to the Syria caseload is systematically collected, verified, organized, and made available for analysis. This includes both historical data gathered in the aftermath of the fall of the former Syrian government and any new OSI that emerges, with the aim of contributing to the documentation of protection concerns and providing leads and linkage of information to aid the search for missing persons.</p>
<p>S/he contributes to the identification of thematic and geographic priorities for OSI collection, supports the triangulation of findings with internal data, witness accounts, GIS information, and privileged data obtained from external organizations through data sharing agreements.
