EXPERIENCE 1) A minimum of five years of progressively responsible professional experience in strategic communications, public affairs, external relations, stakeholder engagement, partnership development, advocacy, or a related field. This must include at least 2 years of international relevant experience outside of the candidate's home country, country of citizenship and country where the candidate have permanent residence. 2) Experience developing and implementing strategic communications and stakeholder engagement strategies for complex, multi-stakeholder programs, institutional initiatives, or organizational change projects is required. 3) Experience providing strategic communications or stakeholder engagement advice to senior management is required. 4) Experience developing high-quality senior management communications, including briefing notes, presentations, reports, and other strategic communications products is required. 5) Experience establishing and managing strategic partnerships with governments, international organizations, academic institutions, cultural organizations, civil society organizations, diaspora communities, or other strategic stakeholders is required. 6) Experience working on issues relating to Palestine refugees, Palestinian history and heritage, or the Middle East region is desirable. 7) Experience engaging with diaspora communities, networks, or representative organizations to support institutional objectives, partnerships, advocacy, or outreach is desirable. 8) Experience supporting governance bodies, advisory boards, steering committees, or other high-level coordination mechanisms is desirable. 9) Experience working in the humanitarian, development, cultural heritage, or international cooperation sectors is desirable. 10) Experience within the United Nations system or another international organization is desirable.<br> Languages<br>Excellent command of written and spoken English. <h4>Position overview</h4>
<p>The St. Paul Park Refinery has a full-time opening for an electrician who reports to the electrical foreman. The schedule for this position will be a 4-10 schedule Monday through Thursday, including some weekends and holidays. Occasionally, extra hours may be required. The electrician will support the operation of the refinery through properly maintaining refinery electrical systems. This allows for safe, compliant, and reliable refinery operation to support the refinery’s strategic business goals.</p>
<h4>Job duties</h4>
<ul>
<li>Use various tools and equipment to effectively troubleshoot, repair, install, and commission electrical systems including motor circuits, low and medium voltage switchgear and motor control centers, battery systems, UPS systems, motor operated valves, microprocessor-based protective relays, low and medium voltage power transformers, variable frequency drives, electric heat tracing control systems, electrical raceways, industrial lighting, and complex control systems.</li>
<li>Perform work per applicable standards and specifications (Marathon, industry, or manufacturer).</li>
<li>Execute preventative maintenance activities as part of the Mechanical Integrity Program.</li>
<li>Use and understand electrical one-line drawings, electrical schematics, and operate electrical testing equipment.</li>
<li>Properly execute lock out/tag out procedures, work permitting, and other standard industrial safety processes.</li>
<li>Adhere to and understand Marathon’s electrical safe work practices.</li>
<li>Rack in and out electrical circuit breakers.</li>
<li>Maintain required safety and development training per site plan.</li>

<p><h4>Essential responsibilities:</h4>
<p>The designee shall be qualified to install, sustain, troubleshoot, and repair standard radio frequency wireless, line-of-sight, beyond line-of-sight, wideband, ground-based satellite, and encryption transmission devices. Included are multiple waveform systems operating across the spectrum, keying and signal devices, telemetry, and instrumentation systems. Assembles, connects, secures, and interconnects components such as transmitters, power supplies, and antenna assemblies.</p>
<p>Resolves installation, repair, and modification problems associated with communications equipment. Employs orbiting communication satellite, line-of-sight, and tropospheric scatter techniques. Conducts tests to restore and maintain systems. Uses layout drawings, schematics, and pictorial diagrams to solve maintenance problems and ensure equipment is properly positioned. Analyzes construction and operating characteristics of equipment to determine source of malfunction. Performs intricate alignment and calibration procedures to ensure maximum operating efficiency.</p>
<p>Reviews and ensures compliance with maintenance management publications and procedures. Enforces safety standards for system maintenance activities. Checks installed and repaired components for compliance with technical publications. Maintains inspection and maintenance records. Posts entries on maintenance and inspection records. Records meter readings and other pertinent data in equipment logs. Completes maintenance data collection forms. Requisitions, accounts for, and turns in supplies and material.</p>

<h4>Minimum position knowledge, skills, and abilities required:</h4>
<p>High school diploma or GED. Formal electronics training such as military technical training school, vocational college, and/or a four (4) year electronics apprentice program with experience in electronics equipment the technician will maintain.</p>
<p>Minimum IAT Level II, baseline certification IAW AFMAN 17-1303, IP fundamentals, familiarity with deployable communications systems, RF/SATCOM principles highly desired.</p>
<p>Ability to obtain and maintain a US CENTCOM Medical Exam.</p>
<p>Must have or be able to obtain/maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.</p>
