<p>Provide procedural guidance to managers and staff. Supervise, guide and train other finance support staff. Manage financial resources through monitoring and controlling assets, reserves, funds, supplies, etc. in accordance with IOM rules and regulations. Provide specialized advice and support to Project Managers (PM) and/or Chief of Missions (CoM)/Head of Office (HoO)/Head of Sub-office (HoSo) on financial and administrative matters. Assist in monitoring compliance with financial policies, procedures, rules and regulations. Consolidate data into financial statements and assist in monitoring expenditures to ensure they remain within authorized levels. Provide regular and ad hoc financial information to support informed financial decision making. Assist monitoring that bank reconciliations for IOM accounts are regularly performed and reviewed by designated stakeholders. Manage and prepare the payroll by executing validity checks on monthly payroll results. Ensure that disbursements are made based on proper authorizations and supported by legitimate and sufficient documentation. Provide assistance responding to audit queries and follow up on audit recommendations. Review the status and monitor the proper maintenance of Vendor Accounts in accounting system. Verify vendor claims for accuracy and conformance with IOM finance policies and instructions. Assist in the preparation of budget, accounting, financial, statistical reports and other reports as required. <p><strong>POSITION DESCRIPTION</strong></p>
<p>The Proposal Writing & Business Development Manager leads Amideast Jordan’s efforts to expand its donor and client portfolio by identifying funding opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and advancing new business in alignment with the organization’s strategic priorities. The role works closely with the Country Director, headquarters, technical teams in the Jordan office as well as regionally, and external partners to strengthen Amideast’s market positioning and pursue new opportunities.</p>
<p>The incumbent manages the business development process from opportunity identification through proposal submission by researching donor priorities and client needs, pursuing and meeting with new potential clients, assessing Amideast’s service portfolio, and working with technical and operational teams to design responsive, feasible solutions. The role prepares competitive technical and cost proposals, ensures compliance with Amideast’s internal processes, secures required approvals, meets submission deadlines, and maintains relationships with current and prospective donors and clients to support sustainable organizational growth.</p>

EXPERIENCE 1) At least 2 years of demonstrated experience conducting research in primary source or archival collections, including identifying relevant material and assessing source relevance and evidential value. This must include at least 1 years of international relevant experience outside of the candidate s home country, country of citizenship and country where the candidate have permanent residence. (Required) 2) Demonstrated experience producing well-cited analytical or narrative outputs from evidence (required) 3) Excellent drafting skills in English, with the ability to write clearly and concisely for a non-specialist audience (required) 4) Experience working with digitized archives, document management systems, or similar research databases (desirable) 5) Experience preparing materials for legal, disclosure, or declassification review, including redactions (desirable) 6) Knowledge of the history of Palestine refugees, the Agency s operations, or the modern history of the Middle East (desirable) 7) Experience working in the United Nations common system or a comparable international organization (desirable) Languages Excellent command of written and spoken English is required. Working knowledge of Arabic would be an asset.</p>
