Result of Service<br>The UNRWA Education Department is advancing the digitalization of its core functions under Outcome 2 of the ICT4E operational plan: "The UNRWA education department functions are digitalized to boost the digital transformation of the education system and support evidence-based decision-making. One of the major projects that fall under this effort is implementing the EMIS Premises Module (PM) – Enhancing school infrastructure mapping in the Education Management Information system (EMIS). This module will focus on digitizing and streamlining school infrastructure data collection, management, and visualization. <p>Aerostat Operators provide Operations and Sustainment (O&S) support for the Persistent Surveillance Systems Tethered (PSS-T) program in OCONUS site locations. PSS-T is comprised of former Persistent Ground Surveillance System (PGSS) and Persistent Threat Detection System (PTDS) programs. Position will require 6-week training TDY to Elizabeth City, South Carolina.</p><p>Essential Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Aerostat Operators/User-level maintainers will participate in the overall, hands-on operation of the aerostat system including launch, in-flight, recovery, and moored activities.</li><li>Candidates will perform all functions to operate the PGSS/PTDS, an aerostat mounted Intelligence, Surveillance, And Reconnaissance (ISR) platform, its Mobile Mooring Platform (MMP), Sensor Payload(s), communications and navigation systems as well as associated support equipment (Boom Lift, Forklift, All Terrain Vehicles (ATV's), and Electrical Power Generators).</li><li>Candidate will perform User-level maintenance functions include performing hands-on Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS), troubleshooting, removing and replacing Line Replaceable Units (LRUs), and removing and replacing payloads.</li><li>Candidate must possess a diverse range of skills with the ability to quickly adapt to new situations. <li>Assist in preparing training venues by arranging materials, equipment, and other logistical requirements.</li>
<li>Receive training materials from the logistics team and ensure they are properly organised and available for training sessions.</li>
<li>Support trainers and Technical Field Managers during the delivery of training activities.</li>
<li>Assist with participant registration, maintain attendance records, and ensure proper documentation during training.</li>
<li>Provide general administrative and logistical support throughout training activities.</li>
<li>Support WAM staff during field activities, including site visits and technical tasks as required.</li>
<li>Assist in preparing, organising, and handling materials and equipment used in WAM activities.</li>
<li>Support the tracking, storage, and management of consumables and operational items, and report any shortages to the line manager.</li>
<li>Perform data entry and maintain basic records related to project activities.</li>
<li>Carry out administrative duties such as filing, document preparation, record maintenance, staff daily attendance tracking, and monthly timesheet support.</li>
<li>Maintain organised physical and electronic filing systems.</li>
<li>Provide Arabic–English translation support when required.</li>
<li>Assist with routine office tasks to ensure the smooth implementation of WAM activities.</li>
<li>Drive the project vehicle (van) when required and transport trainees to and from training venues.</li>
</ul>
<p>Requirements</p>
<ul>
<li>Must have a good understanding of filing systems and data entry.</li>
<li>Must have the ability to read and write in Arabic and in English language.</li>
<li>Must be computer literate with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.</li>
<li>Preferably have a good understanding of relevant MAG operational reporting formats.</li>
<li>Driving License: Valid driving license to drive a van</li>
<li>Experience: At least 1 year of relevant experience in administrative support, training logistics, field activities, or similar roles.</li>
<li>Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public Administration, international relations, political science, management, or communications is required or equivalent study and experience.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>GENERAL</strong></p>

<li>Undertake any other duties appropriate to the post as may be required.</li>
<li>Aware of gender mainstreaming and ready to participate in gender awareness courses/training</li>
<li>Able to work in a mixed team</li>
<li>Undertake and apply learning from appropriate training and development programmes.</li>
<li>Understand and uphold the standards outlined in MAG’s Safeguarding Framework, acting with due care and attention to safeguard the wellbeing of anyone that comes into contact with MAG’s work and reporting concerns if they do arise.</li>
