Organizational Background

Anera (American Near East Refugee Aid) is a non-political, non-religious international humanitarian and development organization that has worked for decades to address the development and relief needs of communities across the Middle East, including Palestine, Lebanon and Jordan. Anera delivers programs in education, health, economic development and emergency relief, working closely with local partners and communities.

Project Background

The Anera Summer Educational Program supports children from Gaza who have been evacuated to Jordan to receive medical treatment and are currently residing in temporary accommodation. The core delivery commitment is 72 contact hours (three groups × one hour × two days × twelve weeks), in addition to time required for curriculum and session planning, assessment design, record-keeping, the closing event and final reporting.
DRC is looking for a Project Manager who will provide overall leadership, technical direction, and management of DRC’s project “Protecting Dams and Surrounding Areas in Jordan Valley through Nature-Based Solutions and Labour-Intensive Measures.” The position focuses on soil and water conservation structures—particularly the construction of gabion check dams, gabion retaining walls, riprap, culvert rehabilitation, and afforestation measures.

The Project Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for the donor, government counterparts (JVA, MoA), the engineering firm, and contractors. He/She will ensure timely implementation, compliance with CfW SOPs, technical standards, safety protocols, and donor requirements, while contributing to reporting and learning.
