You will own the commercial strategy and P&amp;L, build and scale partnerships across key retail categories, and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver sustainable growth and an exceptional customer experience.<br>This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You’ll be responsible for driving business performance, identifying new growth opportunities, and shaping the future of quick commerce in Jordan. Reporting directly to the GM of Careem Shops for UAE &amp; Jordan, you’ll have the opportunity to influence strategy, execute at scale, and make a measurable impact on one of Careem’s fastest-growing businesses.<br>You’ll inherit a business with strong foundations and a clear opportunity to accelerate its next phase of growth.</p><br>What You Will Own1. P&amp;L and Commercial Strategy<ul><li><p><strong>Full ownership</strong> of the Jordan Shops P&amp;L.</p><br></li><li><p><strong>Set and defend category strategy</strong> across supermarkets, pharmacy, flowers, butcheries, electronics, and other sub-verticals.</p><br></li><li><p><strong>Build the annual and quarterly business plans</strong>, reporting performance and forecasts to the GM with public-company rigour.</p><br></li></ul>2. Merchant and Partner Store Operations<ul><li><p><strong>Lead merchant acquisition and account management</strong> across all categories, growing the base of local SMEs on the platform while improving mutual unit economics.</p><br></li><li><p><strong>Own partner store operational standards</strong> (catalogue/menu quality, stock accuracy, and order-acceptance times) to safeguard our sub-25-minute delivery promise.</p><br></li><li><p><strong>Partner with Category and Captain Ops teams</strong> to maintain high availability during peak demand and seasonal surges (e.g., Ramadan, back-to-school).</p><br></li></ul>3. Everything App Synergy<ul><li><p><strong>Collaborate with Careem Pay</strong> to ensure frictionless checkout and drive wallet adoption across Shops orders.</p><br></li><li><p><strong>Partner with Captain Ops</strong> to protect delivery reliability and Captain earnings.</p><br></li><li><p><strong>Identify cross-sell opportunities</strong> with Rides and Food to maximize customer lifetime value within a single Careem Super App session.</p><br></li></ul>4. You will lead the full Planning and Procurement team, overseeing finished and semi-finished goods planning, material supply and both short- and long-term production planning. Through effective capacity management, production sequence optimization, project support and inventory control, you will help ensure market demand is met while maintaining efficient stock levels across material, leaf and finished goods warehouses.<br></span><br><br>

<li><span>Coordinate and control short-term planning, including daily scheduling, production report maintenance, planning data accuracy and continuous support for finished goods and semi-finished goods planners.<br></span></li>
<li><span>Control material planning for non tobacco materials and leaf, including requirements, coverage and inventory turnover analysis.<br></span></li>
<li><span>Coordinate and control planning through monthly plan preparation, adjustments and review, taking into account production constraints and market demand requirements.<br></span></li>
<li><span>Perform capacity analysis covering capacity overview, machinery capabilities, planned sourcing changes, material lot sizes and prices.<br></span></li>
<li><span>Manage Planning and Procurement Department key performance indicators, including inventory turnover, monthly reporting and presentations to Factory Management. Continuesly develop and improve factors having direct and indirect effect on material planning and ordering and production planning.<br></span></li>
<li><span>Maintain and improve factory planning system data accuracy and monthly performance overview in line with global key performance indicators.<br></span></li>

<li><span>At least 2 years of professional experience in production planning.<br></span></li>
<li><span>Fluent English language skills for effective verbal and written communication.<br></span></li>
<li><span>PC literacy, Microsoft Office skills and advanced Excel capability.<br></span></li>
<li><span>Knowledge of enterprise resource planning systems, with SAP and APO knowledge preferred.<br></span></li>
<li><span>Ability to take ownership, focus on value and strive for continuous improvement.<br></span></li>
