<p><strong>Title: Health & Nutrition Coordinator</strong></p><br><p>TEAM/PROGRAMME: Health & Nutrition <br> LOCATION: Damascus/Aleppo.<br> GRADE: 3<br> Contract Length: 12 months renewable</p><br><p>CHILD SAFEGUARDING: <br> Level 3: the role holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work in country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.</p><br><p>ROLE PURPOSE: <br> The Health and Nutrition Coordinator will work to contribute and improve the overall Health & Nutrition of the targeted Beneficiaries in Syria, through provision of quality Comprehensive primary health care including RH, child health and nutrition services (MIYCN, IYCF-E, CMAM, MAMI). The Health & Nutrition Coordinator will work collaboratively with partners to meet the needs of patients, promote healthy behaviours, strengthen health systems and improve access to basic health and nutrition services. She/ He will work under the direct line management of Head of Office and is also expected to work closely/coordinate with Health & nutrition Technical Advisors (Backstop) in the Country office on technical matters/inputs.</p><br><p>SCOPE OF ROLE: <br> Reporting: Head of Office.</p><br><p><br> KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:<br> • Manage and Provide Technical support to the Health and Nutrition emergency programme by leading the establishment and setting up of an integrated nutrition component in the current service delivery point.<br> • Manage, develop and review detailed implementation plans for health and nutrition projects and ensure quality standards in compliance with Save the Children strategies, donor guidelines and priorities.<br> • Review the partners’ narrative and financial report and prepare for the monthly BvA and Award Review Meetings.<br> • To lead in the coordination and preparation of quality and timely donor reports thus ensuring that these are of high quality (Reporting clearly on progress towards the outputs of the project as stated in the project proposal).<br> • Manage and oversee the implementation of the agreed plan for health & Nutrition projects with the partners, from a quality perspective and meeting project targets and deadlines. (for example, monitoring against log frames, monitor detail implementation plan and individual performance management work plans). <br> • Work closely with the Emergency programme teams to ensure an integrated programme approach, identify ways of maximising links, sharing of experiences and lessons learnt as well as leverage of SCI projects in the area. <br> • As budget holder for health & nutrition grants, be fully aware of the grant compliance regulations of the donors relevant to projects. <section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles & Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>The Analyst is based in the EBRD s resident office in Amman, Jordan and is dedicated to working in the sustainable infrastructure sector in the EBRD s (SI MEA) team, which delivers the Bank s mandate in the energy and infrastructure sectors in Jordan, as well as other countries in the region. This position is focused on infrastructure whereby the team is responsible for debt and equity investments in the public and private sector in the transport and municipal infrastructure including water, public transport, and waste subsectors. The Analyst contributes to all phases of the project cycle, including project origination, structuring, execution, implementation and monitoring. The Analyst will take responsibility for the tasks assigned to them by the operation leader, the Regional Head for Infrastructure or more senior members of the project team, or more senior bankers, which may include undertaking comprehensive due diligence, including financial, market, integrity and EBRD policy compliance, as well as effective post-signing implementation and monitoring. In addition, tasks may be assigned by the Director, Regional Head Eastern Mediterranean related to sectoral needs. The Analyst carries out these tasks as part of a project team under the guidance of the operation leader or under the supervision/guidance of the Regional Heads or more senior bankers. <p>INSO Palestine launched in 2024 in response to the ongoing crisis in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (oPT). <p><strong>Position Description/Summary: </strong></p>
<p>Under the supervision of the Water and Treated Wastewater (TWW) Policy and Planning Manager, the Water and Wastewater Specialist will support or lead a range of technical assistance activities to support the National Conveyor Project Management Unit (NCPMU), associated readiness activities, and wider water sector institutions including the Ministry of Water and Irrigation (MWI), the Water Authority of Jordan (WAJ), the Jordan Valley Authority (JVA), utilities, and other agencies. WEC currently supports the NCPMU to operationalize its Readiness Functions, which includes monitoring and delivery, donor and finance coordination, and strategic communications for NCP Readiness Interventions. WEC also supports the NCPMU with technical assessments, market research, and strategic planning related to the NCP and NCP Readiness. WEC also works with the JVA, WAJ, MWI, and utilities on strategic interventions, including national strategies, assessments, strategic plans, and master plans for water and wastewater systems. <p>The Jordan Himaya Activity aims to enhance the availability and quality of essential services and protection for survivors of domestic and sexual violence in Jordan. The project has two outcomes: 1) survivor-centered institutional capacity improved, and 2) legislative frameworks for protecting survivors and responding to violence strengthened. To achieve these outcomes, the project will apply a survivor-centered systems-strengthening approach to improve prevention, response, and protection services, and to support the development and implementation of survivor-centered legislation and policies. </p>
<p><strong>Role’s Purpose:</strong></p>
<p>The Procurement & Construction Officer is a key member of the Project Team. S/he will play a pivotal role in ensuring integrity, fairness, and openness in procurement processes and adherence to policies, procedures, and controls. The main responsibility for this position is to conduct procurement of goods, services, construction and rehabilitation activities in compliance with DAI policies and procedures, and US requirements. The position requires relevant work experience in the field of procurement and contracting across a variety of industry sectors, contract management, dispute resolution, managing interpersonal relationships and communication, and investigating/following up on vendor issues. The position requires knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
