The GIZ Jordan Country Office is seeking to hire an “Security Risk Management Assistant” based in Jordan- for full-time base employment.
As a Security Risk Management Assistant, you will support the effective implementation of security risk management processes, ensuring compliance with technical, operational, legal, contractual, and internal requirements. You will work closely with the Security Risk Management Advisor (SRMA) and Country Director (CD), handling security-related adinistrative and organizational tasks independently while ensuring smooth workflows and effective communication within your area of responsibility.
Your role involves:
- Managing internal communication related to security risk management.
- Providing information and advice on internal workflows.
- Supporting management and process improvement initiatives.
- Preparing and sharing relevant documentation.
- Ensuring efficient information flow and collaboration with relevant units.
- Performing additional tasks as assigned by your line manager when required.
You perform the tasks assigned to you by your line manager, where required.
Qualifications and Specialist knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Law, Political Science, Social Sciences, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, exposure to a development organization context
- High level of discretion, flexibility, and commitment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under stress and time pressure, including outside regular office hours
- Proficiency of both spoken and written English.
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency in ICT technologies.
Main Responsibilities
- Registering new international staff, development advisers, interns, CIM experts, their families, and visitors, as well as assisting with security briefings.
- Maintaining and updating various staff databases for Jordan, including Yemen portfolio staff.
- Keeping an updated record of staff movements, including those in and out of the country and visiting personnel in Jordan.
- Compiling and responding to ad-hoc queries regarding the SRM Jordan mailbox using safety and security databases and mapping tools.
- Assisting in the implementation of GIZ Minimum Security Standards and maintaining incident documentation.
- Updating security-related information and documents on all relevant platforms.
- Supporting effective communication between the Country Director and the RMO office in Jordan.
- Performing additional tasks outside the scope of the job description where appropriate and reasonable.
