<p >The GIZ-implemented <strong>Employment in Jordan 2030</strong> project is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join its team in Jordan.</p>
<p >This internship offers hands-on experience in a dynamic environment that uses creative methods to strengthen civil society organisations in Jordan, enhancing skills, approaches, and opportunities for marginalized youth and communities.</p>
<p><strong>About the project?</strong></p>
<p>Under the Framework Agreement between the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Government of</p>
<p>the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Employment in Jordan 2030 Project (EJ2030) is implemented by the “Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH” in close cooperation with its political partner the Ministry of Labour (MoL) and other national partners.</p>
<p>In cooperation with the Ministry of Labour, the project aims to strengthen Jordan’s employment system through three interlinked areas of intervention. First, it supports evidence-based labour market policies by developing a comprehensive policy cycle, establishing a Labour Market Information System (LMIS), and assessing the impact of existing employment measures and systems. Second, it promotes safer and more productive work environments by enhancing the institutional capacities of the Central Inspection Directorate and field inspection units, developing the technical, advisory, and digital competencies of labour inspectors and occupational safety and health (OSH) personnel, and designing business development services (BDS) to improve working conditions in enterprises. Third, the project enhances target group-specific labour market services by improving the Ministry’s digital job portal <em>SAJJIL</em>, strengthening the institutional and technical capacities of eight public employment offices and the Central Employment Directorate, designing and implementing tailored employment measures through private service providers.</p>
<p><strong>Main Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Support the implementation of activities related to policy development, target-oriented labour market services, business development services, capacity development of partners, and other project initiatives, including research, studies, and both online and in-person events.</li>
<li>Provide technical, logistical, and administrative support in the preparation of workshops, events, and meetings with partners</li>
<li>Support in the preparation and design of various material incl. reports, texts and publications in English.</li>
<li>Assist in collecting and analysing data related to labour market trends, employment programmes, and policy documents.</li>
<li>Support in the quality assurance of translated documents and support in the translation of material from English to Arabic and vice versa </li>

<p><strong>Who Are We Looking For?</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in economics, statistics, public policy, political science, administration, management or comparable discipline, preferably recent graduates (within 24 months)</li>
<li>High affinity for topics in the field of employment promotion and development cooperation.</li>
<li>Basic understanding of Jordan’s labour market structure and challenges (youth employment, gender gaps, inclusion of persons with disabilities, etc.).</li>
<li>Initial experience in event management, research, analysis and summarising of information.</li>
<li>Excellent reporting, writing and presenting skills</li>
<li>Organisational skills and initiative, a structured way of working, a quick perception as well as a high-quality awareness and team orientation.</li>

<p>The GIZ Regional Programme <strong>Digital Trade and E-Commerce in the MENA Region </strong>is seeking to hire an “<strong>Economic Cooperation and Private Sector Development Advisor - Focus: E-commerce & Digital Trade</strong>” based in Jordan- for full-time base employment.</p>
<p>The regional programme "Digital Trade and E-Commerce in the MENA Region" is co-funded by the European Union (DG MENA) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ and the International Trade Centre (ITC). It aims to develop e-commerce and digital trade in the South Mediterranean region to enhance business opportunities and foster decent job creation, in cooperation with the public and the private sectors. The programme covers eight countries — Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, and Tunisia, with national implementation activities in <strong>Egypt, Jordan, Morocco and Tunisia.</strong></p>
<p><strong><u>Qualifications and specialist knowledge</u></strong></p>

<li>Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, Law, Information Technology, or a related field is required. A Master's degree in a similar field is preferred.</li>
<li>Sound know-how of international trade policies, agreements and rules governing e-commerce and digital trade. In-depth knowledge of the framework conditions in Jordan shaping the country’s digital trade readiness.</li>
<li>At least 5 years of experience in economic cooperation and private sector development projects.</li>
<li>Implementation experience minimum of 3 years of activities in digital trade and e-commerce: strategies and regulatory approaches for e-commerce; technical tools and solutions enabling e-commerce and digital trade (e-signature, e-payments, e-commerce platforms and others).</li>

<p><strong>DigiTVET- </strong>Digitilisation of TVET in Jordan” project is part of the TVET portfolio of GIZ Jordan<strong>,</strong> which aims to strengthen the quality and attractiveness of vocational education and training across the country. Working in close partnership with the Ministry of Education<strong>,</strong> public training providers, and civil society organisations, the project focuses on developing standardised procedures for digital TVET and designing inclusive, barrier-free learning methods that improve access for women and marginalised groups. A core element is the capacity building of teaching staff in both digital methods and inclusive, gender-equitable approaches. <p><strong>ZME- </strong>The global programme "Centres for Migration and Development" (ZME) is part of the Group “Flight, Migration, and Return” in the Department “Sector and Global Programmes”. On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the centres help to shape safe and regular migration that benefits all sides: Embedded in the structures of the cooperation countries, they advise people on regular work or training migration and at the same time support returnees from Germany and other countries to reintegrate socio-economically in their country of origin. In this way, the centres enable the partner structures to support people in all phases of the migration cycle. </p>
<p><strong><u>Qualifications and specialist knowledge</u></strong></p>

<li>Profound knowledge of Jordan’s TVET system, structures, and reform processes, including the National Qualifications Framework and the strategies for its implementation.</li>

<p><strong><em>Fursati: </em></strong>The advisor will mainly work under Output 1 (TVET / Governance), and contribute to other outputs, specifically Output 2 (BTEC System), regarding governance issues.</p>
