<p><strong>Creative</strong> <strong>Arts</strong> <strong>Therapist</strong> or Behavioral Specialist to develop, design and implement its well-being and resilience initiatives across underserved communities in Jordan.</p>
<p>The candidates for this position will work on provision of:</p>
<ul>
<li>Creative Arts Therapy programs and workshops (movement, drama, visual arts, music, etc.) in community centers</li>
<li>Training the Trainer programs — either leading sessions or recruiting and developing qualified trainers</li>
<li>Mentorship and upskilling of women to become local facilitators and project leads</li>
<li>Mobile outreach initiatives to expand impact in villages and neighboring towns</li>
<li>Needs analysis and response for the communities</li>
<li>Partnerships with local and international organizations to ensure sustainable, ethical, high-impact delivery</li>
</ul>
<p>The applicant will be the coordinator of the existing community center, and has to be able to blend therapeutic expertise with leadership, mentoring, and program design while building trust on the ground.</p>

Under the overall direction of the Protection Unit, and in coordination with other UNHCR staff, government, NGO partners and other stakeholders, the Assistant Community-Based Protection Officer works directly with communities of concern to identify the risks they face and to leverage their capacities to protect themselves, their families and communities. The incumbent may have direct supervisory responsibility for part of the protection and/or support staff and supports the application of community-based protection standards, operational procedures and practices in community-based protection delivery at the field level. To fulfil this role the Assistant Community-Based Protection Officer is required to spend a substantial percentage of the workday outside the office, building and maintaining networks within communities of persons of concern (PoC). The development and maintenance of constructive relationships with PoC that measurably impact and enhance protection planning, programming and results form the core of the work of the incumbent.
