<p><h4>Job description</h4>
<p>Employee will be part of the deployment pool and will be required to support deployments to various CONUS/OCONUS locations as required. This position will require the member to be flexible in the support of assigned deployment/work schedules.</p>
<p>Supports an aircraft ground equipment (AGE) shop in a medium to large-sized military aircraft flying organization. Ensures the timely and proper performance of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on AGE equipment and light support vehicles. Inspects, tests, and operates AGE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation. Diagnoses mechanical and electrical circuitry malfunctions. Interprets drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical data to facilitate repairs and/or modifications to ground support equipment.</p>
<p>Identifies appropriate replacement parts in TOs and technical documents and orders those parts. Removes, disassembles, repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles, and re-installs AGE accessories and components. Stencils and marks AGE as appropriate. Services equipment with fuel, oil, coolant, water, hydraulic fluid, and air as required. Operates, cleans, inspects, and services AGE tow vehicles. Maintains and documents AGE equipment and tow vehicle forms. Positions equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations. Schedules PMIs as required. Adheres to safety procedures and follows technical orders as applicable.</p>
<p>USAF equivalent position is AGE Mechanic Apprentice.</p>
<h4>Essential responsibilities</h4>
<p>Maintains external fuel and grounding systems; performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on GSE; inspects, tests, and operates GSE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation; services equipment with fuel, oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, and compressed air; diagnoses mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test equipment, and technical publications.</p>
<p>Disassembles and assembles malfunctioning basic GSE accessories and components; removes, disassembles repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles, and reinstalls GSE components and accessories; stencils and marks GSE in accordance with technical publications; stores, handles, labels, uses, and disposes of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with all state, local, and federal environmental standards and regulations.</p>
<p>Prepares GSE for storage and mobility deployment; and operates, cleans, inspects, and services GSE towing vehicles.</p>
<p>Assists in maintaining vehicle records and assists with updating paper and electronic equipment records; provides dispatch service for GSE, including positioning equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations; practices good housekeeping, tool control, foreign object damage prevention, and safety at all times.</p>

<h4>Minimum requirements</h4>
<ul>
<li>Must have high school diploma or have completed relevant military and/or vocational technical school curriculum.</li>
<li>Minimum of one-year actual AGE maintenance experience required.</li>
<li>Must be qualified with most basic types and uses of AGE equipment.</li>
<li>Must be familiar with diesel engine maintenance and repair, and HVAC maintenance and repair at the basic level.</li>
<li>Must be able to perform increment monitor duties to include but not limited to equipment/cargo preparation, documentation, pallet build-up, and hazardous cargo.</li>
<li>Must be able to inspect, repair, and operate ground support and auxiliary equipment.</li>
<li>Must achieve a passing grade in all required courses/certifications for continued employment, as needed.</li>
<li>Employee must meet all OCONUS deployment criteria, to include pre-deployment medical screening, as a condition of employment.</li>
<li>Must be able to deploy to forward locations (other countries) as directed by the government.</li>
<li>Must be able to lift, carry and/or wear military issued equipment in excess of 50 pounds for extended periods.</li>
<li>Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.</li>
<li>Must have had an active secret US government clearance within the last 12 months. Note: US citizenship is required to obtain a secret clearance.</li>
<li>Must be able to maintain required DoD security clearance commensurate with the assigned duties during employment.</li>
<li>Must have current/active state issued driver’s license.</li>
<li>Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid flight-line government driver’s license.</li>

<h4>Essential duties and responsibilities</h4>
<p><strong>Strategic execution:</strong> Communicate and execute MTI strategic goals and objectives.</p>
<p><strong>Technical & operational leadership:</strong> Provide technical and operational leadership across engineering, production, quality, and business development. Act as the primary technical authority for the company's thermal spray applications and component dimensional restoration, ensuring all work is technically sound, properly planned, and executed efficiently in accordance with company standards and customer requirements.</p>
<p><strong>Project & group coordination:</strong> Coordinate and direct projects, plan technical activities, and ensure successful execution of work and programs. Engage with other IBC Group technical and support staff as needed.</p>

<p><strong>Subsurface & finishing operations:</strong> Oversee associated mechanical manufacturing and finishing operations critical to component repair, including pre-machining inspection, chemical stripping, masking, grit blasting, and precision post-coat grinding/machining to tight dimensional blueprint tolerances.</p>
<p><strong>Team development:</strong> Assist in hiring, training, mentoring, timecard oversight, performance reviews, and corrective actions of team members, helping to ensure personnel follow procedures, policies, and performance expectations.</p>
<p><strong>Executive reporting:</strong> Meet regularly with executive management to review performance, current contracts, risks, and future opportunities.</p>

<h4>Job requirements</h4>
<p><strong>Citizenship status:</strong> Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. Due to potential access to export-controlled technical data, candidate must qualify as a U.S. person as defined under applicable export control laws, including ITAR/EAR, or otherwise be authorized to access such data under applicable law.</p>
<p><strong>Education:</strong> Must have a bachelor's degree in materials science, metallurgy, mechanical engineering, mechanical engineering technology, or industrial engineering.</p>
<p><strong>Operations experience:</strong> Must have 5-10 years of relevant operations management experience, preferably overseeing an autonomous business unit or standalone profit center. Experience with thermal spray and manual machining in a production environment is preferred.</p>
<p><strong>Project management:</strong> Must have a minimum of 5-10 years of direct project management experience.</p>
<p><strong>Leadership & communication:</strong> Must have demonstrated leadership experience and excellent communication skills.</p>
<p><strong>Analytical capabilities:</strong> Must be detail-oriented to understand complex systems, as well as capable of utilizing advanced mathematics for process and coating parameter development.</p>
<p><strong>CAD competency:</strong> SolidWorks or equivalent 3-D modeling software experience is required.</p>
