Together, we embody the vision of responsible hospitality.</p><br><p>Take the opportunity to become a Heartist®, and let your heart guide you in this world where life beats faster.</p><br><br>Job Description<br><br><p><strong>Department:</strong> Engineering<br><strong>Reports To:</strong> Chief Engineer / Engineering Supervisor<br><strong>Location:</strong> Mövenpick Resort & Spa Tala Bay Aqaba</p><br><p>Job Purpose</p><br><p>To maintain, repair, and ensure the proper operation of all plumbing, water supply, drainage, and sanitary systems throughout the hotel, ensuring a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for Heartists and guests.</p><br><p>Key Responsibilities</p><br><ul><li>Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of all plumbing systems and equipment.</li><li>Inspect, repair, and maintain water supply, drainage, sewage, and sanitary systems.</li><li>Attend to plumbing maintenance requests and breakdowns promptly.</li><li>Repair and replace pipes, valves, faucets, toilets, showers, pumps, and related plumbing fixtures.</li><li>Check and repair water leaks and take immediate action to prevent water damage and wastage.</li><li>Maintain hot and cold water systems and ensure proper water pressure and flow.</li><li>Assist with maintenance of water tanks, pumps, and related equipment.</li><li>Conduct regular inspections of plumbing installations in guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, staff areas, and back-of-house facilities.</li><li>Support the Engineering team during renovation, installation, and construction works when required.</li><li>Ensure all plumbing work is carried out safely and according to hotel procedures and applicable standards.</li><li>Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, repairs, and replaced materials.</li><li>Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, safe, and organized.</li><li>Report any major defects, safety hazards, or equipment issues to the Engineering Supervisor/Chief Engineer.</li><li>Follow hotel policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements.</li><li>Support energy and water conservation initiatives and minimize unnecessary water consumption.</li><li>Respond professionally and promptly to requests from other hotel departments.</li></ul><p>Health & Safety</p><br><ul><li>Follow all hotel Health & Safety and Engineering procedures.</li><li>Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).</li><li>Ensure work is performed safely and without creating hazards for guests or Heartists.</li><li>Immediately report unsafe conditions, leaks, or potential risks to the supervisor.</li></ul><p>Qualifications & Experience</p><br><ul><li>Previous experience as a Plumber, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment.</li><li>Technical/vocational qualification in plumbing or a related field is preferred.</li><li>Good knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, materials, and maintenance techniques.</li><li>Ability to identify and troubleshoot plumbing problems.</li><li>Basic understanding of electrical/mechanical systems is an advantage.</li><li>Good communication and teamwork skills.</li><li>Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.</li></ul><p>Key Competencies</p><br><ul><li>Technical Skills</li><li>Problem Solving</li><li>Attention to Detail</li><li>Teamwork</li><li>Safety Awareness</li><li>Time Management</li><li>Reliability and Responsibility</li><li>Customer/Heartist Focus</li><li>Commitment to Quality and Standards</li></ul><br>Additional Information<br><br><p>Your team and working environment:<br>In 1-2 sentences, introduce the team, property or office environment in a way that reflects the culture<br>Note: Customization may be included for any specific local or legislative requirements, such as work permits<br>Our commitment to Diversity & Inclusion:<br>We are an inclusive company and our ambition is to attract, recruit and promote diverse talent.</p><br> </div>
