Our innovative products have successfully processed over 6 billion (yes, billion with a B) orders so far! making Foodics one of the most rapidly evolving SaaS companies to ever emerge from the MENA region.</p><p>The Job in a Nutshell We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join the Optimization Team and take ownership of the internal tools we build for Foodics' sales, operations, and support functions. This role is highly hands-on and end-to-end you will own products from idea to production: frontend, backend, infrastructure, and the stakeholder conversations that shape what gets built. You will work as the engineering counterpart to a small, fast-moving team that ships internal systems used directly by the business, often without the luxury of detailed specs or established playbooks.</p><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><ul><li>4+ years of professional full-stack engineering experience with the receipts to back it up production systems you've shipped and supported.</li><li>Strong command of modern JavaScript/TypeScript across the stack: React on the frontend, Node.js/Express (or similar) on the backend.</li><li>Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.</li><li>Real, day-to-day fluency with AI coding agents you treat them as production tools, understand their failure modes, and have shipped meaningful work with them.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to deliver complete products end-to-end without waiting for detailed requirements or product specs.</li><li>Comfortable owning infrastructure: deploying to a cloud provider (GCP, AWS, or Azure), managing secrets, and operating production services.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication in English you will work with non-engineering stakeholders daily.</li><li>High-agency mindset: you close the loop without being asked twice and surface risks early.</li><li>Based in Egypt or Jordan with the legal right to work there.</li></ul><p>Nice to have</p><ul><li>Direct experience deploying and operating on Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Secret Manager).</li><li>Familiarity with PostgREST, row-level security, and database-level authorization patterns.</li><li>Experience integrating with Salesforce, Saudi-specific APIs (Wathq, Nafath), or payment platforms.</li><li>Background in SaaS, FinTech, or operations-heavy companies.</li><li>Arabic language skills, for engaging with regional integrations and documentation.</li><li>Open-source contributions or public technical writing.</li></ul>
