Your mission is to make DigitalZone's architecture hold together as the business multiplies.
DZ has grown into several product verticals.
With that growth comes drift: forked services, duplicated capabilities, and per-team divergence that quietly raises the cost of every future change.
You will architect and deliver solutions that span multiple teams, drive convergence of shared services, and set the technical bar that other engineers work to.
This is a multiplier role: your impact is measured by what several teams ship well, not by what you ship alone.
What you'll do Architect systems spanning multiple teams, anticipating future use cases and designing to minimise the cost of change rather than optimising for the current sprint.
Drive convergence of shared services across business units, actively resisting fork-and-diverge, and reducing the drift .
Set code quality, testing and review standards for your teams, including the conventions that make AI-assisted development safe at speed.
Review for maintainability and system fit, not just correctness.
Lead the difficult investigations: diagnose issues spanning your domain and adjacent ones, and mentor others on systematic debugging rather than solving it for them.
Own observability for your domain and build a culture of it across teams, using both operational and business metrics to drive stability and performance work.
Lead secure design reviews and partner with the security function to apply DZ's security strategy across your teams including how secrets and PII (passport and telecom identifiers) are handled to policy.
Partner with fraud and risk stakeholders to build controls into your domain, balancing fraud loss and chargeback exposure against customer friction on a payment surface that carries real abuse exposure in different market.
Ensure epics and cross-team dependencies are broken down, understood and resolvable without teams waiting on each other, and drive short cycle time.
Mentor within and beyond your team, facilitate cross-team decisions with genuine buy-in, and decide engineering work for your teams based on strategy, contributing to org-level engineering strategy as it takes shape.
Immediate, large-scale impact on a high-growth business Top-of-the-market compensation packages Work alongside top regional talent, with team members from Talabat, Careem, Etisalat, and more What you'll bring 8+ years building and operating production software, with a track record of owning architecture that spans several teams and outliving the org chart it was designed under.
Deep experience in at least one of DZ's stacks (TypeScript, Go, C#) with the range to reason credibly across all of them, plus solid Postgres and AWS depth.
Evidence of consolidating forked or duplicated services, or of setting standards that other teams adopted because they were good, not because they were mandated.
A security and fraud lens applied by default: OWASP fluency, secure design instincts, and an understanding of what abuse looks like on a payments and digital-fulfilment surface.
Influence without authority: the ability to build relationships across teams, foster healthy disagreement, and guide a group of strong engineers to a decision they'll actually stand behind.
Judgement about cost and value, including where AI leverage genuinely saves time and where it introduces risk that someone will pay for later.

About Maqsam

At Maqsam, we’re building the friendliest cloud communication suite in MENA. Businesses use Maqsam to make and receive calls anywhere in the world, get local and international numbers without friction, build interactive voice responses, supervise and record their call-centre teams, and support customers over WhatsApp and other channels.

We’re growing fast, we sit at the heart of a real problem for growing businesses, and we’re in the middle of an exciting shift, from a feature factory toward genuine product discovery. You’ll join a world-class team whose members have built products at Google, Booking, Microsoft, Verizon, Orange, and Zain.

Your opportunity

We’re hiring an experienced product manager to drive key parts of our administration area, the account, team, permissions, and configuration layer our customers rely on every day, plus the compliance and regulatory capabilities that let them operate legally across MENA markets. You’ll take clear ownership of a defined set of products within this area from day one, and you’ll have room to grow your remit as you prove yourself.

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role at the intersection of product, engineering, compliance, and our revenue teams. You’ll partner closely with the squad lead and, given your experience, be trusted to run significant areas independently. Much of the work is turning operational and market requirements into clear, shippable product, so you’ll be equally comfortable digging into a new market’s requirements and writing a crisp and clear requirements for the squad.

You’ll report to: the VP of Product.
You’ll work day-to-day with: Engineering, UX/UI (Design), Compliance, Legal, Finance, and the Revenue teams (Support, Success, Sales).
Squad: Administration.

Your top responsibilities

The administration layer. Take clear ownership of account, team, roles and permissions, and configuration surfaces, the backbone that, when done well, makes Maqsam feel effortless to run. Outcome: measurable drop in admin-related friction and support load.

Regulatory and market-readiness features. Work closely with legal and compliance teams to turn regional and market requirements (e.g. business verification, identity, and reporting needs across MENA markets) into prioritised, well-specified product, so Maqsam’s product expands cleanly into new markets and the customer experience stays simple.

Cross-team leadership. Act as the lead product point of contact across Engineering, Compliance, Finance, and Revenue, aligning stakeholders, protecting engineering focus, and keeping the roadmap honest under changing priorities. Outcome: fast, clean resolutions instead of fire-drills.

Product source-of-truth. Establish and maintain the product documentation for your area so the team has a reliable reference for how it actually works. Outcome: a maintained source of truth others can rely on.

Evidence-led discovery. Talk to users, use our analytics, and bring evidence, not just requests, into what we build next.

We expect from you

4+ years in B2B product management (SaaS or software), with a strong track record of shipping and owning meaningful product areas independently.

Advanced stakeholder management across technical and non-technical partners; you build alignment and lead without authority.

Exceptional written and verbal communication with stakeholders.

Comfort with ambiguity and shifting priorities; you create structure and order without waiting for it.

Technical fluency; you collaborate closely and credibly with engineers.

Data-literate; you think analytically and you are data driven.

Fluent in English and Arabic.

Demonstrated ownership and accountability for outcomes; genuine curiosity and drive to learn.

LLM/AI experience or familiarity.

Nice to have

Telecom / CPaaS / CCaaS / contact-centre domain background.

Exposure to AI-powered product features (a growing bet across Maqsam).

Experience building or maintaining integrations / public APIs.

Experience with legal and compliance product scope.

Storytelling communication.

What we provide

Join a world-class team at Maqsam, where your growth is our priority. Here’s what you can expect:

A collaborative and friendly environment with flexible hours.

Many opportunities to learn, grow and become a world-class professional.

A fair compensation.

A culture that thrives on open communication and transparency.

First-class health insurance.

Part of something big: Work with seasoned professionals and be proud of being part of the exciting world of SaaS business.
