<p>Mission and objectives</p><p>As part of the UN country team in Yemen, UNDP covers the humanitarian-development-peace nexus. UNDP projects support governance and peacebuilding, green economic recovery and development and climate change, water, energy and environment. Projects aim to restore livelihoods, strengthen resilience to future challenges, and lay the foundation for long-term development focusing on the most vulnerable population including marginalized women and youth.</p><p>Context</p><p>The UNDP Yemen Country Office has a Liaison Office based in Amman Jordan. ALO supports the country office’s partnerships, programme and operations. Under the overall guidance and direct supervision of the Strategic Advisor the candidate is to support with administrative, operations and logistics to ensure smooth delivery of ALO’s responsibilities. The administrative, operations and logistical Support Officer is providing an essential role in performing a variety of tasks on the ground to back up the operational support for the CO in Yemen and to assist staff while on rotation or transiting to Amman in facilitating their lodging hotel reservation, arranging for their transportation.</p><p><br></p><p>Additional Information:</p><p>National UN Specialist Volunteers in Jordan are entitled to:</p><p>• Monthly Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA) at the amount of JOD 1,145.08;</p><p>• Annual and learning leaves;</p><p>• Free Medical and life insurance; and</p><p>• Free access to different learning platforms.</p><p>Task description</p><p>Within the delegated authority and under the supervision of the Strategic Advisor or his/her designated mandated representative(s), the UN Volunteer will:</p><p>1. Provide Administrative Support:</p><p>• Arrange for the office Senior management meetings, conferences and retreats</p><p>• Arrange for hotel reservation and airport pick up for the Sr. office Management</p><p>• Work closely with the Sr. office management to manage the meetings’ agenda and update it as necessary</p><p>• Notify the office security personnel of the venues and date of the planned meetings</p><p>• Custodian of office stationery supplies</p><p>• Custodian of office assets</p><p>• Close cooperation with the Regional Hub office on reviewing the office space invoices, verify them and confirm them for payment.</p><p>• Prepare for request for visas through different embassies, follow up on obtaining the required visas, ensure timely submission and collection of passports maintaining a reliable daily follow up system.</p><p>• In charge of daily attendance of staff working when in Amman and providing the required attendance report when needed</p><p>• Work as a focal point person with the RH office and security office to facilitate the entry of invitees for the various meetings inside the RH office premises.</p><p>• Act as a security warden, and as a focal point with the security office (UNDSS) and report on staff lodgings and contact details in Jordan.</p><p>• Arrange for renewal of the residency of staff in cooperation with the RH office</p><p>• Arrange for renewal of the access cards for the office staff.</p><p>• Act as a focal point person with the mobile Co. Zain in Jordan in activating SIM cards for new staff, de activating lines of the departing staff, receive invoices, verify and classify them for payment, ensure the process of payments for settling and clearing the due amounts.</p><p>• Provide support as may be required.</p><p><br></p><p>2.Support Events Management:</p><p>• Provide the required professional logistical support for the events management and organization of conferences, workshops, retreats and meetings.</p><p>• Select suitable venues, through competitive approaches, in cooperation with the procurement unit.</p><p>• Ensure availability of all the equipment required for the event, i.e. video conference system, sound system, mics, interpretation, banners, catering, etc.</p><p>• Arrangement for hotel reservation, transportation, airport pick up/drop as required.</p><p>• Receive the related invoices, screen the accuracy of the invoices in line with the offer and confirm to the finance office to release the related payments/Purchase Orders.</p><p><br></p><p>3. Provide financial support:</p><p>• Perform financial activities related to payments, office petty cash and arrange for submitting the cash register of expenses with the supporting documents.</p><p>• Compile all the necessary documentation together with the relevant invoices and submit to finance to process the payments.</p><p>• Follow up with the finance office on the related payments/vouchers.</p><p><br></p><p>4. Support procurement:</p><p>• Close cooperation with the procurement unit in terms of procuring office items and needed. services and goods and report to the procurement unit and follow up to the delivery and installation phase.</p><p>• Obtaining offers from the suppliers in the local market when required.</p><p>• Compile the offers and send them to the procurement office.</p><p>• Follow-up with the RH office on the LTAS and the renewal of these LTAs.</p><p><br></p><p>5. Manage dispatch arrangements:</p><p>• Prepare documents for UNDP dispatch (received/sent).</p><p>• Manage to receive and return the UNLPs from HQ/to CO.</p><p>• Coordinate with UNDP country office on receiving pouch materials related to Yemen office.</p><p>• Ensure receiving/delivery/storage of the items/documents.</p><p>• Report to the parties concerned on receiving assets to reflect them in the asset records.</p><p>• Keep records of assets for the office equipment.</p><p>• Provide the semiannual and annual report on the asset items.</p><p><br></p><p>Application deadline is on 10 August 2026</p> </div><h2 class="h5">Skills</h2>

<section><p class="heading jdMain">Job Description</p><p class="heading">Roles & Responsibilities</p><div class="paragraph"><p>TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR Youth-Led Research on Environmental Challenges and Women s Rights Project Strengthened the active participation of women (Jordanians, Syrian Refuges, Youth and Women with Disabilities) with a comprehensive approach to rights in Jordan , funded by AECID Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation.</p><p>INTRODUCTION Alianza por la Solidaridad-ActionAid was born with the vocation of working to achieve a better and more sustainable world for all, regardless of where they were born or where they decided to live. We invest all our work, knowledge, experience, and creativity in defending and advancing global rights in all parts of the world and for all people. Our work responds to the defense of the rights of migrants, the rights of women around the world, the sustainability of the environment and the defense of the rights of people affected by humanitarian crises. For this, we know that we need to build an informed, critical global citizenship that is eager to get involved in the social changes necessary to achieve a world that puts people and human rights at the center. And we know that advocacy is key to achieving this. Alianza-AA has been working in Jordan since 2007. The organisation has always collaborated with Jordanian organizations of a strong feminist nature and supported the work of civil society, especially in terms of empowerment and women's rights, prevention and response to sexual and gender-based violence, both with Jordanian women and refugees. It is specialized in the detection and care of cases of GBV through clinics and OneStop Centres, training to non-specialized actors for the detection, referral and response to cases of GBV, the application of standard procedures and policies to ensure quality in multisectoral services, training and awareness in GBV and women s rights, promotion of women leadership and participation, studies, etc.</p><p>Project context These ToR are developed within the framework of the program (hereinafter the Convenio) entitled "Strengthened the active participation of women (Jordanians, Syrian Refugees, Youth and Women with Disabilities - WwD) with a comprehensive approach to rights in Jordan", funded by the Spanish Cooperation AECID. Alianza por la Solidaridad-ActionAid is part of a consortium formed by three Spanish NGOs (Alianza-AA, MPDL and NOVACT), of which Movement for Peace MPDL is the lead, organization for this intervention, along with the local partners: Be Positive; Community Based Rehabilitation Center (CBR); I Dare; and Housewives Association (HSF). The direct local partner of Alianza is HSF. To contribute to this, Activity A1.4 will engage youth activists from Jordan to design and implement two participatory research projects. These studies will explore the intersection between environmental challenges (including climate change) and women s rights, such as:</p><ul><li>How climate and environmental changes affect women s daily lives and rights (e.g., access to resources, health, participation).</li><li>How women and girls contribute to environmental protection and community resilience.</li><li>The role of youth and women s activism in advancing environmental justice and peace.</li></ul><p>Objectives This initiative provides a learning-by-doing opportunity for young activists to lead their own research projects, supported by Alianza-AA and Liwan mentors. The goal is to:</p><ul><li>Build young people s knowledge and skills in participatory and feminist research.</li><li>Strengthen their leadership and advocacy capacities.</li><li>Generate evidence and recommendations to inform local action and community awareness on issues linking women s rights and gender issues with environmental challenges.</li></ul><p>Roles and Responsibilities To ensure smooth implementation and clear coordination, responsibilities will be shared between Liwan Youth Space and Alianza por la Solidaridad-ActionAid (Alianza-AA) as follows:</p><p>Selection Process: Conducted jointly by Liwan and Alianza-AA. Liwan will play a key role in identifying and assessing candidates based on their familiarity with youth groups and local context, while Alianza-AA will ensure alignment with project objectives and criteria.</p><p>Capacity Assessment: • Led by Liwan, given its close engagement with participants and understanding of their capacities and learning needs.</p><p>Training and Capacity-Building Design: • Co-developed by Liwan and Alianza-AA to ensure both contextual relevance and technical quality.</p><p>Training Implementation: • Led by Liwan, utilizing its internal team and network of resource persons.
