Partnership Finance Officer

Goal / Purpose:

The Partnership Finance Officer supports the Deputy Finance Coordinator in the monthly review of the partners' budgets, transactions, and supporting documents to provide timely feedback to the partners and support their capacity building.

He/she also supports his/her line Manager in developing and implementing partners' capacity-building plans for Local NGOs.

With the support of his/her line manager, s/he ensures the implementation and knowledge of accountancy and finance compliance with Solidarités International and donors’ rules and regulations for Solidarites International partners in Syria mission.  

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accountancy and Finance

  • Assist in reviewing partner accountancy to ensure alignment with SI procedures as defined in the partnership agreement, under the guidance of the line manager
  • Review partner transaction lists to ensure accuracy under the supervision of the line manager, and provide feedback to partners as needed
  • Follow up with partners about the corrections, amendments and missing documents on regular basic
  • Support the Deputy Finance Coordinator during the final financial report period, by reviewing the transactions, checking and preparing the partners’ individual reports
  • Translate training to be accessible by all relevant partner staff
  • Assist in gathering information and providing inputs to support the line manager in the development of specific policies
  • Reports to the Deputy Finance Coordinator and Finance Coordinator any alerts concerning partner’s finance administrative processes or Program activities implementation.

Audit and Representative tasks:

  • Participate to coordination meetings hold by the partner when requested by the line manager
  •  Participate to internal and external training when requested by line manager
  •  Participate to spot checks, internal and external audits
  •  Follow up on the reception of key findings and recommendations
  • Draft Minutes of relevant meetings and send them to line manager
  • Establish and maintain good relations with partners and reports to his/her Line Manager to avoid overlapping
  • Participate in field visits if requested by the line manager
  • Contribute to review sub-award agreements and associated financial annexes
