About Tamatem Games

Tamatem Games is the leading mobile games publisher in the MENA region. We localize and operate international mobile games for Arabic-speaking audiences across SLG, MMORPG, Card, and Casual genres, alongside developing our own original titles. We're two-time PGC Dubai Best Publisher (2024, 2025) and Best Arabic Localization winner.

About the Role

We're looking for a versatile game artist who thrives across multiple games and visual surfaces. In this role, you'll produce in-game art, UI/UX, and Arabic localization assets across our portfolio, contribute to in-game promotional moments, and support our brand design work for company-level initiatives.

This is a hands-on, multi-disciplinary role for someone with strong graphic design instincts in addition to game art craft—someone who can move confidently between a UI screen, a localized event banner, an in-game promotion asset, and a polished brand deck without losing quality on any of them.

You'll work closely with fellow game artists, marketing artists, and game developers.

What You'll Do

Game Art & UI/UX

Produce in-game assets across multiple titles: UI screens, menus, flows, icons, illustrations, event art, splash screens, and in-game social assets.

Adapt to diverse visual languages - stylized casual, anime MMORPG, medieval SLG, and traditional card-game aesthetics.

Validate work against tech budgets (file size, RTL integrity, accessibility, in-engine performance) and hand off cleanly.

Contribute to mood boards, references, and visual exploration during pre-production for new features.

Localization Art

Lead Arabic adaptation passes: RTL layouts, Arabic typography, culturally adapted assets, text-in-image localization.

Maintain dialect and cultural-fit quality across the titles you support.

In-Game Promotion

Produce in-game promotional art for LiveOps events, seasonal moments (Ramadan, Eid, National Day), and feature launches.

Coordinate with marketing artists for asset reuse and visual consistency between in-game promos and marketing creatives.

Brand Design Support

Partner with the brand designer on work such as pitch decks, event identity, social-media brand assets, employer branding, and internal communications visuals.

Apply brand guidelines consistently across all touchpoints.

Treat brand work with the same craft bar as game art.

Quality & Collaboration

Hold the line on visual quality, style consistency, and craft polish across everything you ship.

Mentor junior team members on technique, file hygiene, and pipeline discipline.

Actively contribute to creative reviews and feature discussions.

What You'll Need

3-5 years of experience in visual design, with at least 2 years in mobile gaming or a closely adjacent industry.

Strong graphic design foundation - typography, layout, hierarchy, composition - in addition to game art skills.

Mastery of Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma; simple After Effects fluency for UI motion and light brand motion.

Solid understanding of UI/UX principles: screen layouts, wireframing, component libraries, interaction states, and developer handoff.

Strong sense of color theory, visual storytelling, and the discipline to adapt across diverse art styles (stylized, semi-realistic, anime, traditional, corporate-brand).

Demonstrated experience integrating AI-generated art tools into your workflow to ship faster and explore more creatively. AI fluency is required, not optional.

Working knowledge of Arabic typography and RTL design principles.

Detail-oriented, self-directed, and calm under multi-track delivery pressure.

Bonus Points

Basic 3D fluency with Blender or Maya for prop work or asset blockouts.

Animation experience with Spine (2D) or After Effects for UI and promo motion.

Prior experience producing pitch decks, event identity, or employer-branding assets.

Familiarity with mobile game LiveOps cadence and seasonal calendars.

Exposure to MENA/Saudi audiences or cultural-adaptation work.

Why Join Tamatem

Work on a diverse portfolio of mobile games reaching millions of players across MENA.

Join a growing creative department where craft, AI fluency, and cross-functional impact are recognized and rewarded.

Be part of an award-winning team shaping the future of Arabic mobile gaming.

The role

You'll produce the video and animation that carries our social and product storytelling, and you'll design static assets across social, paid, and brand work as a core part of the job.
What you'll do

Produce motion graphics and animations for social, product, and campaigns (at least one polished animation per week)

Edit and finish video content, including talking-head and person-featuring videos for social and product

Edit product videos and demos to a high quality bar

Design static assets across social, paid, blog, and landing pages

Help adapt and roll out our new brand identity across all asset types as the rebrand lands

Turn briefs from social, PMM, and brand into finished work, and contribute your own creative ideas

Support the September product launch asset refresh

Requirements

What we're looking for

3 to 5 years producing motion graphics and video in a brand, agency, or in-house team

Strong Adobe After Effects (license will be provided) and video editing skills; comfortable end-to-end from brief to export

Solid graphic design fundamentals across digital formats

A social-first eye, you understand what makes content stop the scroll

Fluent Arabic and English, written and spoken

Fast, organised, and able to juggle multiple briefs without dropping quality

Comfortable using AI tools in your workflow to move faster

Familiarity with Figma and AI-assisted design workflows

Portfolio: a motion reel (~3 min), 2-3 social examples, one product/demo example (if available)

Benefits
