- Develop procurement strategies for mechanical equipment.
- Evaluate and select vendors/Suppliers, ensuring reliability, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead contract negotiations to secure optimal terms and performance guarantees.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
- Stay updated on market trends to identify innovative solutions and cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards in all procurement processes.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Implement performance monitoring and supplier evaluation metrics to drive improvements.
- Identify potential supply chain bottlenecks and develop contingency plans and mitigation measures.
Skills
- Mechanical Engineering Qualification is required (higher degree is plus).
- Experience in industrial projects procurement for minimum 5 years and total of 10 years.
- Professional in using Codes, Standards (certificates in plus).
- Excellent in English language (reading, writing and speaking).
- The successful candidate must be a non-smoker.
The type of contract will be a service agreement.
