<p>The Evaluations and Assessments Specialist will provide technical leadership for evaluation, assessment, and research activities under the Jordan MELA work order. This position will lead the design and implementation of evaluation and assessment assignments in response to U.S. Department of State priorities, ensuring that products are rigorous, relevant, timely, and actionable. The Evaluations and Assessments Lead will work closely with the Jordan MELA Senior M&E Specialist (Evidence Generation Lead), Department of State counterparts, technical specialists, and subcontractors to support credible evidence generation for program design, adaptation, and learning. <p>The Jordan Himaya Activity aims to enhance the availability and quality of essential services and protection for survivors of domestic and sexual violence in Jordan. The project has two outcomes: 1) survivor-centered institutional capacity improved, and 2) legislative frameworks for protecting survivors and responding to violence strengthened. To achieve these outcomes, the project will apply a survivor-centered systems-strengthening approach to improve prevention, response, and protection services, and to support the development and implementation of survivor-centered legislation and policies. </p>
<p><strong>Role’s Purpose:</strong></p>
<p>The Procurement & Construction Officer is a key member of the Project Team. S/he will play a pivotal role in ensuring integrity, fairness, and openness in procurement processes and adherence to policies, procedures, and controls. The main responsibility for this position is to conduct procurement of goods, services, construction and rehabilitation activities in compliance with DAI policies and procedures, and US requirements. The position requires relevant work experience in the field of procurement and contracting across a variety of industry sectors, contract management, dispute resolution, managing interpersonal relationships and communication, and investigating/following up on vendor issues. The position requires knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). The Procurement & Construction Officer will be responsible for gathering complete procurement related backup documentation and auditing prior to submission to the Project´s Finance Team. S/he will develop and release solicitations, conduct price/cost/reasonability analyses, and perform any other related duties as assigned.</p>
<p>In addition to procurement responsibilities, the Procurement & Construction Officer will provide technical support for construction and rehabilitation projects, including the review of engineering documents, support during the planning and procurement phases, monitoring construction activities, and coordinating with project stakeholders to ensure quality implementation and timely delivery of project activities.</p>

<p>The GIZ Jordan Projects <strong><em>FURSATI – Empowering Women for Technical and Green Crafts Professions and in Career Development</em></strong> and <strong><em>Digitalisation of TVET in Jordan </em></strong>are seeking to hire a “<strong>Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist</strong>” based in Jordan- for full-time base employment.</p>
<p><strong>FURSATI –</strong> <strong>“</strong>is a BMZ-funded GIZ project in Jordan’s TVET portfolio, running from <strong>05/2026 to 04/2030</strong>. The project aims to improve employment perspectives in Jordan, especially for young women, in green, technical and creative sectors. It follows a gender-transformative approach, with gender equality and women’s empowerment as its principal objective. </p>
<p>FURSATI works at system, school, community and labour-market level. It supports gender-responsive TVET reform, practice-oriented BTEC education, social norm change around women’s employment, and women’s transition into work. </p>
<p><strong>Output 1</strong> strengthens the Ministry of Education’s capacities to implement TVET reform in a gender-transformative and labour market-oriented way, including policy advice, capacity development, career orientation and private sector engagement. </p>
<p><strong>Output 2</strong> supports selected BTEC girls’ schools in improving practical and gender-responsive training in green, technical and creative fields, with a focus on work-based learning and cooperation with companies. </p>
<p><strong>Output 3</strong> addresses social norms limiting women’s participation in these sectors through evidence-based campaigns, community dialogue, Sport for Development approaches, and exchange with women’s and business associations. </p>

<p><strong>DigiTVET- </strong>Digitilisation of TVET in Jordan” project is part of the TVET portfolio of GIZ Jordan<strong>,</strong> which aims to strengthen the quality and attractiveness of vocational education and training across the country. Working in close partnership with the Ministry of Education<strong>,</strong> public training providers, and civil society organisations, the project focuses on developing standardised procedures for digital TVET and designing inclusive, barrier-free learning methods that improve access for women and marginalised groups. A core element is the capacity building of teaching staff in both digital methods and inclusive, gender-equitable approaches. <p><h4>Position summary</h4>
<p>Ensure staff is working together as a team to ensure optimum service and that guest needs are met. Inspect grooming and attire of staff, and rectify any deficiencies. Complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, locking doors, etc. Inspect storage areas for organization, use of FIFO, and cleanliness. Complete scheduled inventories and stock and requisition necessary supplies. Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and well-being of guests. Complete work orders for maintenance repairs.</p>
<p>Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees; and serve as a role model and first point of contact of the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.</p>
