<p>The GIZ Jordan Project <strong><em>"</em></strong><strong><em>Centres for Migration and Development (ZME)</em></strong><strong>” </strong>is seeking to hire a <strong>“Vocational Training and Labour Market Advisor – Focus: Labour Mobility”</strong> for full-time based employment.</p>
<p>The global programme "Centres for Migration and Development" (ZME) is part of the Group “Flight, Migration, and Return” in the Department “Sector and Global Programmes”. On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the centres help to shape safe and regular migration that benefits all sides: Embedded in the structures of the cooperation countries, they advise people on regular work or training migration and at the same time support returnees from Germany and other countries to reintegrate socio-economically in their country of origin. In this way, the centres enable the partner structures to support people in all phases of the migration cycle. </p>
<p><strong>Qualifications and Specialist Knowledge</strong></p>

<p><strong>Main Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Provide advice to persons interested in international labour market mobility for work or vocational training. Knowledge about labour market mobility to Germany and EU is relevant in particular. </li>
<li>Provide technical advisory on international labour mobility and relevant skills development to governmental partners, particularly the Ministry of Labour (Jordan), and other relevant public and local institutions.</li>
<li>Identify capacity development needs of governmental counterparts and partner institutions, and design, plan, and implement relevant capacity development measures to establish labour mobility advisory/ supportive structures in close coordination with partners.</li>
<li>Coordinate the establishment and operationalization of German language learning structures within institutions of the Ministry of Labour (Jordan) and other relevant partner institution.</li>
<li>Maintain coordination with relevant stakeholders, including universities, vocational training institutions, implementing partners, experts and consultants, as well as relevant teams within GIZ, to support the effective implementation of project activities.</li>
<li>Develop technical concepts, implementation approaches and Terms of Reference (ToRs), manage related procurement and tendering processes, and the oversee of the implementation of service contracts and partnerships.</li>

<h4>Job description</h4>

<li>Oversee and ensure the smooth daily operation of the Fairmont Gold Lounge.</li>
<li>Consistently deliver professional, friendly, and engaging service in line with Fairmont Gold standards.</li>
<li>Lead service within the Fairmont Gold Lounge, ensuring menu offerings and food presentation consistently meet brand standards.</li>
<li>Foster high team morale and a strong spirit of collaboration to maintain exceptional service levels.</li>
<li>Motivate, guide, and provide continuous support, coaching, and development for all team members.</li>
<li>Support the training and onboarding of new colleagues while providing ongoing development for existing team members.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain strong guest relationships to build loyalty and enhance the Fairmont Gold experience.</li>
<li>Assist guests with hotel facilities and services in a knowledgeable, professional, and helpful manner.</li>
<li>Provide exceptional and personalized information regarding local attractions and points of interest.</li>
<li>Coordinate with the Front Office regarding hotel events, group arrivals, and special functions to ensure seamless service delivery.</li>
<li>Ensure accurate billing procedures for Fairmont Gold groups and individual guests.</li>
<li>Participate in the Manager on Duty program for hotel restaurants as required.</li>
<li>Maintain a strong focus on health & safety and actively contribute to a safe working environment.</li>
<li>Support and actively engage in the hotel’s environmental and sustainability initiatives, including department-specific programs.</li>
<li>Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, and the established code of ethics.</li>
<li>Work assigned shifts in other Food & Beverage outlets as directed by management.</li>

<h4>Qualifications</h4>
<ul>
<li>One year of supervisory experience in a hotel restaurant or lounge (four-diamond hotel).</li>
<li>Two years of progressive experience in a high-volume hotel restaurant or lounge.</li>
<li>Must have thorough working knowledge of hotel food & beverage operations.</li>
<li>Good English communication skills.</li>
<li>Proven leadership, motivational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>Strong business acumen with an understanding of hotel financial reporting structures.</li>
<li>Excellent, proven food & beverage product knowledge is required.</li>
</ul>

<li>Prior experience working with Opera or a related system.</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.</li>
